My whole nieghborhood is hispanic and most of the families have at least one family member in the military.
This questions reeks of anger and bitterness.
Hispanics love America just as much as whites do and we proudly send our boys and girls to fight for America.
p.s. all of the hispanics I know speak english or are in the process of learning english.
You need to calm down and stop blaming hispanics for your problems!

Were you actively watching for Hispanics to salute the American flag or honor the U.S. military? Did you keep a tally? The ones you did see, are you sure they are illegal immigrants? Come to think about it, how many indigenous Americans did you see saluting the flag?
You can't generalize across a population, and that includes the illegal immigrant population. It doesn't solely comprise Hispanics, and it doesn't solely comprise people who refuse to learn English and want everything written in Spanish. Many immigrants are grateful to come to America; many of them have a hard time learning English because they are older and are too afraid to learn in a formal setting in case they are found out and deported. Some of them may be unaware of Veterans Day and what it means; some of them feel too little a connection to this country to instantly immerse themselves in U.S. traditions. Sure, you have some unsavoury elements who feel the power of their own culture and its ability to override the current one (Check out Samuel Huntington's "The Hispanic Challenge") but that doesn't apply to everyone who comes here.
I'm an immigrant and have lived in the United States for 10 years, still less than half my life. I didn't come here and instantly embrace everything American. In fact, it wasn't until 9/11, a good five years after my arrival, that I felt any real connection to this country at all. Even after all these years, Thanksgiving still means very little to me. That doesn't make me a bad American, it just makes me a different one. Similarly, immigrants -- even illegal ones -- who don't salute the U.S. flag on Veterans Day aren't necessarily disrespectful or hatemongerers. It's very difficult to assimilate sometimes and reconcile with a foreign culture -- even if it's one you adopt willingly.

You sir, are a bigot. You discrimate just as other bigoted Americans discriminated against the Chinese, the Irish and the Russians and other Slavs.
50 years from now , when a quater of the American population will be hispanic I want you to say that to the thousands if not millions who have put their lives on the line for this country during that period of time

Well my dear, did you even know that when Ken Burns and Co created their documentary on WWII they ignored the contributions of Hispanic veterans? It was only when Hispanic military historians raised their voices that the documentary was amended and their stories added. And wtf does Veteran's Day have to do with being an American? It wasn't even invented until 1968, and for the most part, a lot of Americans see it as one of the few holidays we're actually off work in this workaholic nation. Get off your high horse and stop being so nationalistic.

I guess it depends where you live and where your parade was held. In Las Vegas, Nevada the parade route was filled with over thirty thousand people. Quite a few Ibero-Americans in the crowd and in the line of march. And all of them were applauding and saluting each time the flag came by. That was true for all of those who viewed the parade. Of course, I can't speak on the issue of all of the illegal Irish aliens in the Northeast since I didn't attend or view the parades in their cities.

Well, waddya know? And if the US are playing Mexico in sports, which side are they on? Well, the hope is that in time, this will change, but the numbers coming in seem to count against this.
