India was never bombed with an atom bomb, but the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed with the world's first atomic bombs.
Today both the cities are far, far better than Delhi or Bombay or any other Indian city. I mean in less than 60 years time the Japanese could rebuilt their cities to the world class level, but Indians couldn't. Does that mean the Indians are inferior and they cannot build a world class city?
I've seen both Delhi and Tokyo. Delhi's population is less than half of Tokyo, but still in Tokyo there is no chaos and disorder. People get on and off the buses and metros with patience. Pedestrians are also respected. No littering or spitting on roads, and people in this world class megapolis and one of the the major financial centers(along with New York and London) don't take pride in speaking in English. Japanese is everyehere and still its a major financial center. And in Delhi everything is oppostie.
So please tell me, are they superior to Indians?

So India was colonized. India was colonized because it could be, and Japan couldn't. Otherwise the westerners also went to Japan to do so-called business with them. And manners have nothing to with economy or GDP. And also you people have given an implicit answer, that there is no end to tornados and earthquakes. India has all the resources and Japan don't have even cultivatable land and most of the country is mountainous and still Japan is a highly developed country.
Your spitting on roads has nothing to with how much you earn.

My writing of this question in English itself suggests that Indians are inferior to both Far Easterners and Westerners. Had this topic been about Japan, the question would have been in the japanese language, otherwise the Japanses wouldn't even have answered it. English is international language according to Indians, and despite working in English for the last 60 years India has achieved very litte or insignificant. And the growth you see is not about India only, many other countries also have 9% growth rates like Uzbekistan, Kazakastan etc., and standard of living in many ASEAN countries is far better than India, but only India is highlighted by the western countries because
1. In India they are getting a big market of 1billion+ people.
2. India can be used against China, because of its still comparative size and population.
3. Indians are spreading the western culture more than the westerners themselves, like papers like TOI telling how many times you should have sex in a week?

Comparisons,it has been said, are odious. No one has claimed to be inferior or superior to another. We have little or no time to indulge in
useless theorising because here in India life is a struggle, what with a sizable portion of the
burgeoning population scrounging for a meal
each day.And yet,despite all odds,our progress
which is slow but sure,is something every Indian
is proud of.In spite of all the squalor one encounters,India will soon become a superpower.India is looked up to by the inter-
national community in every field. And still we do
not choose to compare ourselves with the
rest of the world.Let us all strive to make this
world a better place to live in,and not worry
about superiority or inferiority. There are more serious issues like pollution, greenhouse effects,
war and strifes in different parts, food for all,
cure for diseases so far considered incurable
etc.

India is booming at the moment and the economy is rapidly growing and the rest of the world is looking up to India. Others are coming to India to work and enjoy the life in India, they dont want to go back to their clinically clean countries where everythings is so expensive.India may be over populated but thats what is helping the economy grow. India has the largest population of under 25 yrs age of people. All other places have aging old people living off the government funds.India is the knowledge house. The youth of the rest of the world look for drugs and sex but the youth in India look for education. Japan is very very expensiive and accommodation is impossible and there are no end to earth quakes and tronadoes etc. India is a mix of different religions and cultures etc, but all live in harmony no matter what the situation. Its a happy blend. No discrimination.Dont under estimate India and Indians, India or Indians are not inferior to anyone. India is a force to reckon with.

It's a different culture, not a question of inferiority. The Japanese are obsessed with order, Indians are not. India was a British colony (which may explain their predilication for using English) and Japan was never colonized. It maintained a position of isolation for centuries, whereas India regarded itself as the crossroads of the world. There is also the question of economics -- and none of these factors have anything to do with superiority.

all humans are basically same. geographical and cultural diversity makes the difference. india is a vastly populated countriy and there are many poor people who need more care. it will be better for indian govt. to concentrate on improving condition of vast populartion living in villages and interiors of country rather than indulging in making so called world class city. no point in competing with japan or western countries. also there is no need to feel any inferiority complex on this count. however, a drive for improving behaviour of people is urgently required.

what you are saying is somewhat true.now listen:
Indians never have feel of a nation. If a country is attacked continuosly for 1000 years, peoples do loose their sense of belonging. japan and western civilizations focuss on discipline, order and getting work done at any cost. When they take a decision, they implement while in india even dogs have rights.everybody will interfer in good work.
in short indians dont know how to work in groups. They dont believe in any leader or planner. They are extremly egoistic rascist in attitude.thats why they seldom finish work they have undertaken

The Japanese inherited a culture and body of social tradition which is highly regimented, cool, and orderly. Indians inherited a culture and body of social tradition which is multi-faceted, earthy, and random. There is no superiority or inferiority, though you will certainly find ethnocentric arrogance on both sides.
