I am looking into buying a Chevy Blazer 4x4 and was wondering which Transfer Case was better. The New Process 203 or the 205 i want the gear to gear one i know its cast iron and one is gear and one is chain i just wanted to know which was the gear driven and which was the chain.

Yes the NP 205 was gear driven and is considered to be bullet proof the 203,208 and 241 were all chain driven but were still really good transfer cases.

Wish I could remember...call a Chevy parts dept to see which one has the chain...Gear to gear is better. I think one was for auto and one was for stick but not sure.

205 IS GEAR DRIVEN.
