Being afraid is not a bad thing but if you can't control your fear then you need to look for another career. Even the ghost hunters had 'day' jobs to support what they do. Stay in school and learn. One of the most important abilities a ghost hunter needs is to be able to study and know how to gather and secure evidence. Knowing other languages and being able to do research are also helpful. Maybe you need to consider a job in law enforcement with a side hobby of studying religious history and mythology. And remember if you know something is isn't any good unless you can communicate it to others. Learn to speak and write effectively so you can pass on what you learn. Studying photography is a great start as well as a supportive skill.
