I got morning sickness but am over it now. I got it solidly for a few weeks. All day. But never threw up (i havent thrown up in 15 years) I am 20. This is my first child

Im anxioous naturally to find out the sex.

did anyone find that some things give it away. The type of cravings, the instincting feeling of knowing, the sickness (despite i never throw up)
Just anything?

Thanks :)

It's a 50/50 shot. You're either have a boy or a girl. The "signs" that you are looking for are just old wives tales. They cannot be trusted. You should just look for a healthy, happy baby when you give birth to him/her...and that'll be your sign! You'll have a baby boy or girl!

There is no way of knowing until the doctor tells you. Every pregnancy is different. I had no sickness with my first two, one is a boy and one is a girl. This time I can't eat anything but saltines and drink only ginger ale.

It would be nice if you could tell but, no there really isn't anyway.

I've heard some old wives tales that if you crave sweets you are having a girl, and if you crave salty snacks you are having a boy - if that is the case what if you crave chocolate covered pretzels?? are you having both or a hermaphradite? - No offense to any out there or any who may be expecting this.

I've heard if you only seem to gain belly then it's a boy and if you gain everywhere it's a girl (this happened with my first two - we'll see with this one)

I've heard if the heartrate is 140 and lower it's a boy and 140 and up it's a girl. Even though heartrates fluctuate as must as an adults.

The old wives tales offer almost endless opportunities, experiment for fun - but remember that it is just that - fun. No guantees until the doctor catches your little one. Even ultrasounds aren't always a guantee.

Good luck,a nd I hope whatever you are having is happy and healthy and everything you dreamed he or she would be!

*edit* KitKat - I agree with you that I just knew with my first two, and I'm pretty sure with this one as well, my sister on the other hand listened to this advice from me and felt and just knew she was having a boy, never asked when getting the u/s just bought boy clothes and boy toys, bedding etc. well good thing she kept receipts, because her little girl surprised us all, lol, so much for every woman having this instinct......

When I was a young girl, I always knew my first child was going to be a girl. When pregnant to my husband, I only picked out a girl's name, but due to his insistence, did also pick a boy's name. Our daughter is now 22.
For the second through to fourth child I had no clue. Had the ultrasounds, but told them I didn't want to know. The technician let it slip for the third, but I kept the sex from my husband, as he didn't want to know either.
Although I never had morning sickness, each pregnancy was different to the others, the way I carried, how it felt, how much weight, etc., and I had a girl, girl, a boy, and a girl. So no clues here.

First off, Congratulations! I was the same age when I was pregnant with my first too!

I'm now 4.5 weeks pregnant with our 4th. My 1st was a girl and I had morning/day/night sickness and I didn't want meat whatsoever.

With my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies (my boys) I craved meat and chocolate and I had no 'sickness' whatsoever.

So far with this one, it's almost carbon copy of my 1st pregnancy from 12 years ago. Morning/day/night sickness, cannot stand the thought of eating meat

Therefore for me, I'm betting on this one being another girl.

Also, once you start showing; if you carry out front or up high they say it's a boy and if you carry in your back or hips (or you look 6 months pregnant at 9 months) then it's a girl. True for me!

Most of the things you hear are wives tales.I carried high baby had a low heartbeat & everyone said "its a girl".Boy were they wrong. We knew as soon as we saw the ultrasound that it was a boy.I did have a lot of dreams about having a boy.I know that really doens't mean anything but I kinda knew that it was probably a boy.Just an instinct.Hang in there. You don't have long before you find out..:) Congrats!!

The only thing that gave it away for us for #2 and #3, when we found out, was the penis on the ultrasound.

Nothing else will tell you - they're all old wives' tales, and have a 50/50 shot of being right...or wrong.

No. Sorry. =). I had a feeling that I was having a boy, but the ultrasound says it's a girl. I guess I had that feeling b/c everyone in my family wanted it to be a girl. The only thing that I can suggest is that u do is try the Chinese Lunar Gender Predictor for fun at babyzone.com. It said a girl for me. Good luck!!! =)

It seems I knew from the start what gender my babies were going to be. I even knew that my son would be blond and blue-eyed - Neither me nor his dad are that. I also never had morning sickness at all - I was a breeder, my father-in-law said. Haha - never heard of any wives tales regarding this, but I know they are out there.

Go there to look around. Good luck! :o)
