My gf in high school went through that. She would end up in bed crying and moaning for a couple days every month and had to stay home from high school.
This was attributed to a condition called "tipped ovaries" but I have no idea if that is accurate or meaningfull right now. I'm a guy so don't really know what to advise. Listen to the gals who answer for practical advice.

I hope you feel better, I'll keep wishing for u to feel better.

I use to work with a nurse and she has this perfect cure you them.

Take three 200-300mg Ibuprofen
Take two 300-400 Tylenol

Knocks out cramps and headaches everytime for me and NO you wont overdose you would have to take SO much more then this to even possibly overdose.

Feel better !

take some more pain medication, lie down with a hot water bottle, and just breathe deep. try to fall asleep and hopefully you'll feel much better in the morning. a little chocolate probably wouldn't hurt, either!

Hot water bottle works best for cramps. Or you could use a heating pad but for some reason the water bottle works best. The hotter the better, just be careful not to burn yourself. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry! I'll probably be joining you, in a few days, though. Here's what I do: heating pad (or warm computer) on the belly, hot cup of tea or hot chocolate in my hands, chocolate (comfort food) and a good television show. Getting up and walking can also help. Good luck!

There is a long lasting Tylenol out there, I believe it's for eight hours. Drink warm fluids and you can try taking a warm bath and keeping a pillow on your tummy as you sit. This works well for a friend of mine.

"seed position"

it's kinda like the fetal position. sit on your feet kneeling, bend so you head is on your knees on the ground and put a fist on each ovary, just let your body push your fist in massaging them. I does work sometimes. Or it at least feel good for a little bit if you need some relief.

cramps--midol or pamprin--maximum strength only...tylenol or advil doesn't do anything for me

I go thru the same thing every month (the tears and the pain)...the heating pad does really help...and my husband is a wonderful person who rubs my back for me...

try doing something physical. I have cramps just as bad as you, sometimes i feel nauseous and when I'm like walking around or doing something, the cramps just go away.
