Why not have both? For your birthday get a Wii, and then get a newspaper and look in the classifieds for free puppys. That way you have the best of both worlds. Unless your heart is set on a Maltese, then definitley go with the dog...think of it this way a dog can greet you at the door, play, keep you company and best of all, love you and a Wii can not.

This is only my opinion. There is too much of an emotional attachment to a dog, especially a maltese (highly energetic and sociable). If your Wii dies, your out a few hundred dollars, but if your dog dies, well that's a piece of you.

Don't get a dog they are such a hassle, all animals are, and the emotional attachment that you get from it, if it dies..... just do your self a favour and get a Wii, or better yet a PS3, but not a dog

a maltese is probably the best choice....get a puppy so you can potty train it, teach tricks come on dogs are awsome + you never get tired of them you never know what's gonna happen next they're unpredictable!!!just take my advice get a dog!!! :)

you should get a dog. but if you're looking for something that wont deficate on the rug....get a wii. they rock.
