I think the pharmaceutical companies, food companies, and tobacco companies are out to make us fat and sick on purpose so they can make money off us. And that most diseases are man made created by this companies to make us ill.

Power corrupts. The more power you have, the more likely it is you'll be corrupted.
Our brilliant Founding Fathers KNEW that fact and that is why they severely limited the power of the Federal Government and placed that power into the hands of the citizen.
That assured the power is wide spread and limits the possibility of institutionalized tyranny.
Unfortunately, crooked politicians, LAWYERS with specious arguments, "special" interest groups etc. have been diligently working to remove those constitutionally guaranteed powers so they can reverse the American freedoms enjoyed for generations and convert America into a "slave" state with them as the tyrannical heads of that state. They'll promise you ANYTHING to get you to turn over your powers of self-reliance and responsibility to THEM. They can then raise your taxes and take away your money to pay for it.
Best yet, they want a One World Government so there will be NOWHERE for freedom loving people to go for relief.

The modern day American Government is nothing more and nothing less than an oligarchy that is controlled by the Corporations,Bankers, and the Landowning Class. We are serfs, and that is just the way that it is. Accept that we are beyond corrupted; we are corrupt to the bone, and all that we have are the FORMS of the Republic without its substance.
Those specific examples that you site are merely examples of the Lord, Serf mentality that pervades the halls of power in this Nation. We are counters, property, serfs, and nothing more. We are given the illusion of freedom and of control to pacify us, but we are in fact neither, and have not been for at least the past 80 or so years. We are given two of the same thing in a different color to choice from and we think that we have choice. It is a fraud and a farce; but it is fooling the masses and will as long as they remain children controlled by emotionalism and not reason.

Yes and it is starting to be a regular subject on CNN . Every Saturday and Sunday at 8pm they have a program on at 8pm Eastern time that is entitled " Broken Government" . I only saw one episode and it only seemed to scratch the surface a little but I am glad that this is a Banner that is on mainstream news if only for 2 hours a week. By banner I mean the title of the show is displayed while it is on.

In a word... yes, I do think the people in government are corrupt... our government system is not if it was run the way it was meant to be. Unfortunately, money and greed have taken over.
