O my gosh, I didnt know a lot of stuff about abortion. thats just sad how so many people take the babies lives when they are so inocent and didnt do anything bad. Thats just very sad, I am doing a paper about abortion, and I read a lot of stuff about. I didnt even know that they doctors perform abortion even when your like 18 weeks pregnant already. thats scary, and some of the people are saying that it is not a human yet, untill it was born. Of course it is, I mean it has legs, arms, head, eyes, everything. I just wanna cry when I think about. Baby is a blessing from God. We should do something about abortion!!!!!!!

If you dont wanna be pregnant, then dont have sex with whoever. think before you do something. I mean your so mature to have sex and your so immature to take care of the baby??? Then have sex whenever your ready, the innocent baby shouldnt pay for your mistakes, you have no right to take somebodys life, especiall your own child. who gave you the right to take away somebodys life.

Abortion is legal and it is a woman's right to choose so why even bother in saying what you are saying?

It is not a baby until it is born breathing on its own see that is why it is called a fetus and not a human.

If you think abortion is so wrong then preach about birth control to all these young girls, stop men from raping which is why some people have abortions then try to cure every medical problem that can happen in a woman while pregnant and the only way to save the mother is to abort. Until people can control all of that then abortion will always be legal.

Who gave you the right to choose for others?

I would say don't be so quick to judge. Abortion is legal for a reason. Although I don't agree with it, it is the womans decision ultimately. To say it is murder, disgusting, cruel etc is shallow minded and all of the people who posted comments like that need to think how they would feel if they were in that situation, especially if they were raped. How would u feel raising a child who was conceived from a man who raped u? You will never know truely how u feel until you have to make that decision. You may see abortion as wrong, but I am sure everybody on here has done something during their lives that is wrong and that other people certainly wouldn't agree with, whether it be abortion or something else. Everybody makes mistakes, nobody is perfect

I'm torn on the subject personally because you have to factor in the women who get abortions because they have been raped. My sister has had two do to rape and even though I've always been against it I would've rather her had the operation then go through the pain of having a child at the age of sixteen (that was when the first one was). My sister also is mentally disabled so we don't know how the baby would've turned out. So to sum this up I'm against it but in some circumstances i think it should be allowed.

I do not think abortion is right if you are doing it just because you don't want a baby. Either don't have sex or at least give up for adoption.
Now the only time I think it is ok is if This is a child of rape/insest. Or if having the child puts the Mother and or the baby at major risk.

Colorado is trying to overthrow Row V Wade about all this to were no one can have one.
But we all need to remember this is the USA and we have our rights to choose. And that is what we should still have. No matter what we believe other people may believe something differnt.

Abortion is one of many solutions to an unintended pregnancy. I think choice is good. And if it isn't right for you, then nobody is forcing you to do it. Be careful about research...unless you really know how to critically analyze any information published, you can't be sure of the methods employed to conduct the research. Being only partially informed is potentially more dangerous than being completely ignorant. Ultimately, abortion is a very personal decision. And not one that ANYONE should be making for another person one way or the other.

Let's require mandatory, monthly pregnancy tests on all women 5-60! Then, we can confine ALL pregnant women on breeding farms where they will be forced to exercise, eat properly, etc... Lights out at 8:30 pm each night, no smoking or alcohol on the premises of course... and of course, NO conjugal visits... we can't risk it! We will need a cemetary attached to each breeding facility, since unfortunately maternal mortality IS higher with pregnancy and delivery than it is with abortion, but hey! small price to pay! Also, since there is twice the risk of fetal and maternal mortality on C-section births, we won't be offering those... It'll save money that way too! We can attach an adoption center to all breeding farms so that all the women who are now forced to gestate can at least have a choice on whether or not to parent... Really, it's the BEST way! We can't allow women to think they have a right to determine who can use their body, we have to do whatever is best for the baby! ... SURELY, you can agree with THAT!

I hate even the thought of Abortion, and your right it's very wrong.
I'm 18 weeks pregnant and I seen my baby last week and it looked like it was waving at me, I laughed and cried at the same time and that beautiful sound of a heartbeat. For both of my pregnancy's I noticed a life, and a heartbeat from very early on, I could never give up that beauty.

Abortion is a terrible thing to think about, too many woman in this country pray for a baby every minute of every day, and others can't wait to get rid of theirs.

Against Abortion, Totally for Adoption.
If you don't want the baby, just let someone else have the chance, they are millions of women out there, who don't care where the baby comes from they just want to give the baby a wonderful home, love, and one or two great parents, that will show them they were worth the time being born. Babies are beautiful, a fetus included, they are beautiful and every woman who wants the chance should have the chance to raise a child. The greatest miracle in the world is the birth of a new life.

I would never give up my children for anyone, and I love my 3 year old and my 18 week old fetus, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm even staring at the picture of my fetus, it's right next to the computer, and he or she is wonderful to me already.
Have a great day, and I hope the paper turns out, even though this is a terrible issue to talk about.
Good Luck
:-)

It's a woman's choice.

As for being a human, there is a difference between "human" and "person". For example, is a dead body a person or just human? What about a severed arm? It's human, but is it a person? What if someone has a pig heart, they aren't fully human, but they are a person, aren't they? It's the same question here. When is a fetus a person, not just a human.

Beyond the philosophical questions, there are legal questions. There are many things that doctors in states that actually have abortion (not all do) have to deal with. For example, health of the mother or viability of the fetus are main concerns. If it could kill a mother to have the child, whose life is more important, the fetus or the mother?

I suggest you read some of the supreme court cases on abortion before you make a decision.

I think abortion is the biggest tragedy of all time. We as a society have given women permission to murder their unborn children. We have not only allowed it but we have promoted it. I am completely amazed at our ignorance. Anyone who questions whether or not a child is in truth a child needs to go to www.abort73.com and then tell me what you think. A child is a child from the moment of conception, and not when a woman decides she wants it. There are too many forms of birth control available for abortion to be necessary in the first place even if you don't think it's murder. We have become a society of I do what feels good instead of doing what is right. That is my opinion.

I value the life of the woman over that of an embryo/fetus.

So blah, blah, blah.

Nobody should be forced into parenthood...that's the bottom line.

How about the Religious Right start advocating birth control; the abortion rates would plummet!

BTW- SEX AND MATURITY DO NOT GO HAND IN HAND.
PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX BECAUSE THEY ARE "MATURE."

such a controversial topic. I would never have one. because im married and in a loving relationship. also i waited till i found my future husband before i had sex. not many ppl do. sex is to casual these days. thats a big problem. but even with that being said i am 100% pro choice. no one can decide what a woman should do. its her body her life her decision. sometimes mistakes are made and children should not suffer because of that. what bout baby born to crack addicted parents that the body is addicted when born and wont really lead a normal life is that a blessing is that fair..its not. we are not in the stone ages anymore...no one should tell anyone what they should do with their life....maybe the ppl who have abortions will be suited to adopt later in life.......its a personal decision. if i was unable to take care of myself in a bad realtionship like abusive or whatever or not having any idea how i would feed or clothe my baby i might consider an abortion. but thats neither here nor there you will never know what that woman is feeling or know how it feels to make that choice. so please dont jump to conclusions because not everyone is able to just take on their blessing even tho they may want to...
