No, there is nothing wrong with it as long as your just talking to them like you would someone you meet in real life.
It's only cheating if you cross the line and break your vows.
But you have no reason not to tell your husband if your not doing anything wrong.
My husband and I both go online and chat with friends, male and female but we don't hide it and there is no reason to do so.

You know if you're having an affair or not. But here's a quick rule of thumb: if you would feel comfortable telling your husband about it, or better yet, letting him see what you're typing, it's probably not an affair.

Well, would you want him doing it? If it was the other way around how would you feel?
Are they conversations you would mind him reading?
Personally me and my husband do everything to make the other one feel loved and secure :)

It might not be exactly having an affair, but it's still wrong. You are talking to other men on the side. It can definitely be construed as being unfaithful by your husband. Stop it!

I guess just chatting is ok if you start up a conversation and then find out it's a man, but if you're strickly chatting with him, b/c he's a man, then it's wrong. Or it could be considered cheating altogether.

If your husband knew about it, would it bother him?
If your answer is yes, it might be considered cheating. You need to ask yourself also if this is taking away time and intimacy with your husband. It was explained to me that anything that takes away intimacy from your marital relationship could be considered cheating. That sounded reasonable to me.
