Bush is a bad president but not the worst. He is pretty far down there, probably around his father in my opinion (around the middle of the pack, maybe a little lower). The worst presidents, in my opinion, would have to be presidents like Andrew Johnson (the whole "trying to fix the South after the Civil War" thing without Abe Lincoln did not work), Jimmy Carter (Iranian hostage crisis did not help, etc.), James Buchanan (allowing the Civil War to start is a big reason why he is rated so low), Warren Harding (allowed the Great Depression to take place), and Franklin Pierce (slavery issue - Kansas-Nebraska Act).

Sorry to disappoint you left wingers, but Bush is no where near the worst president of all times. I am not at all a Bush fan, but he is probably 1 of the most mediocre presidents of all time (no place near the 10 best or worst). It just shows how little most of you people on here know about American history to even ask this question. Even if you want to be partisan and hate on Republicans, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ulysses S. Grant, and Herbert Hoover are all worse Republican presidents than Bush Junior.
The worst President of all time was Lyndon B. Johnson. He got to be president by accident (if you believe Johnson was not behind the Kennedy assassination that is) because he was needed to balance Kennedy's ticket. It was Johnson (not Nixon like you liberal revisionists like to say) who turned Vietnam from a police action and military advisory mission as it had been under Kennedy / Eisenhower into a full scale war that killed over 100,000 Americans (the 5,000 deaths you liberal twits blame on Bush really pales in comparioson to that). Domestically, Johnson raided social security, devalued the American currency, and created all types of entitlements and government spending, which is why America is in debt today (he created the Vietnam war, so Vietnam would be on television instead of his socialist domestic agenda).
Johnson's witch of a wife was the original Hillary Clinton who thought she was co president and did all sorts of horrible things like removing all the road signs from America's roads. Johnson kept his office by lying about 1 of the greatest Americans ever, Barry Goldwater (Goldwater was a Libertarian who was going to end the Vietnam War, but Johnson did not want that so he lied and said Goldwater wanted to start a nuclear war). Johnson's own party was so sick of him after he was done with a full term that they were about to kick him out and put Bobby Kennedy in the presidency, until Bobby Kennedy got shot too (strange how all the Kennedy's that get in Johnson's way end up dead). Even shooting 2 Kennedys could not save Johnson since there were 10 other Democrats running against him, so Johnson chickenned out of the race and quit rather than lose (thankfully Johnson did not live long after that and he was so crroked they had to screw him into the ground when he died).

President Bush is the worst President of all time.
No one else comes close to Bush's stupidity.
The Neocons still support him after going to war under false pretenses. And after seizing power after 9/11.
He does not deserve to occupy the office of the President, instead he should be wearing a orange jump suit with a prison identification number on it.

Bill Clinton, the only elected president in the history of the United States to have been impeached, was impeached on December 19, 1998 by the House of Representatives on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228–206 vote) and obstruction of justice (by a 221–212 vote).

Without question the worst was Jimmy Carter with Harry Truman (Korean debacle) and Lyndon Johnson (almost 60,000 dead in Vietnam). Had Truman listened to MacArthur it is possible that there would not have been a Vietnam and we would not have North Korea rattling their sabres now. Johnson is a perfect example of someone advancing beyond their intellectual capabilities.l

Sorry, I don't wish to waste time on who has done the worst. But I will say that in my lifetime the President who lost over 9,000 troops without a confict or war because of safety issues ranks very close to the top. We will need another President with 4 more years and the two wars to equal that amount. If the next President cuts the military budget like President Carter did this will happen all over again.

No, Jimmy Carter was the worst President ever which is why HE wasn't re-elected. It's also why he goes around the world saying stupid things as he's still trying to redeem himself and doing it quite badly. Also remember 10% unemployment and 18% interest rates and 12% inflation. You think things are bad now? Then you have no clue.

Wow, that is the most insightful and original question I have ever seen posted on Yahoo Answers! You are obviously a deep thinker, concerned about the future of our fine country. All that is left to complete your training is to start spelling America with a K.
