there are serval ways you can do it

1.) Percent time the amount in decimal form(0.15=15%)
0.15 X $29.99= $4.50

2.) point a point at the end and move it left

3.) here is a list of percent and how much is off. just remember that is basic on the $1.00 or $100.00 that you spend

Just remeber this some stores use this way too
10%=$1.00 off
15%=$1.50 off
20%=$2.00 off
25%=$2.50 off
30%=$3.00 off
35%=$3.50 off
40%=$4.00 off
45%=$4.50 off
50%=$5.00 off or which ls greater
and so on

15 percent of an amount= 15 percent times that amount
Make the $29.99 into 2999 cents
15 percent is .15, so

2999- (.15 x 2999)= ?

First multiply the number, being sure to put in the two decimal places for the percent. Subtract. Then add the two decimal places & dollar sign to make it dollars, again.
