I think that you should tell her, regardless of whether or not it would hurt her or not. She may already know or someone else may tell her. She is going to want to hear it from you. So, be completely honest with her and try to find out why this happened so that you can avoid it the next time.

I agree with the other answers. Most married people experience this but don't act on it. Spare your wife's feelings and don't feel guilty. You didn't do anything wrong.

If your honestly not feeling anything for that person and it has'nt changed the way you feel for her you might want to leave it at that. If it's bothering you sharing it(without using her name) might stengthen your relationship.
