Apple gave the IPhone to AT&T on an EXCLUSIVE 5 YEAR contract!
Sorry it will be a while!!
"That's the word from USA Today's Leslie Cauley, who appears to have confirmed that AT&T has exclusive U.S. distribution rights on the Apple handset for five years" - http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/05/22/no_cdma_comptable_iphone_for_at_least_5_years_report.html
Also T-Mobile is a wonderful company! Just from having to sell the phones from both T-Mobile and AT&T, I prefer T-Mobile over AT&T because it took me a hour and a half to activate three phones for a customer that AT&T said will work for them and the customers get all the way home and they don't work in that area!!!! That made me feel so bad because they really wanted them but couldn't have them if they don't work!!!! But my favorite company still is Verizon!!!! I love them coverage everywhere!
I personally think the IPhone is OVERRATED, I have seen a few at work and they really kinda suck, but then again that is only MY opinion considering I don't like the IPods either! I like the regular MP3 players better, especially the ones with expandable memory!!
I have read the stuff for the LX it is cool, I don't see where the WI-FI is a big deal unless you plan on taking it where you have no signal and in that case you need something that will have signal!!! I plan on getting the Sidekick ID next year because ALL I need it for is web browsing and text messaging so I don't need anything else, I am keeping my Verizon phone for talking and the T-Mobile Sidekick ID for play! :-)

Word on the street is people are trying to sue Apple for basically running a monopoly on the phone provider. This will change in due time, however, i have no idea of the timeline. It may take up to a year or so before this actually comes into effect.

Yes, but right now AT&T has an exclusive contract with Apple. Just like the Motorola Razr phone, which was once exclusively sold by Cingular, it was eventually offered on other plans. You just have to be patient for a few years.

If it does it will be a long time because AT&T has a contract that they are the only ones to be able to sell the phones. It may happen once the contract runs out.

The iphone does seem amazing but i heard it has its cons....The battery only last about 6 hours! and after 75 recharges you need to get a new battery...so maby wait and when tmobile buy into maby thosse flops will be fixed....

I hope not. I hate T-Mobile. You get a mile off of a major freeway and you have no service.
