They haven't gone to our wonderful system because they realize that our wonderful system is failing. We have millions of uninsured Americans and our drug costs are going through the roof. You will often hear Repubs and Conservatives talk about all these people (from Canada or somewhere else) coming here to get medical treatment. Yeah, the rich people of those countries come here to get IMMEDIATE medical treatment and pay $4,000 for an MRI. Others might have to wait a while but they'll end up paying absolutely nothing. What about the Americans flocking across the Canadian border to get treatment because they can't afford to pay $20,000 for their necessary surgery? What about the millions of Americans who pay their monthly premiums only to find out that their insurance WONT cover them when they actually get ill or injured? Its absolutely luducris to have our nation's healthcare in the hands of corporations whose main goal is not patient care but to maximize their profit margins. We have a corrupt system and its time we actually do something about it. We can't trust our politicians (especially the Republicans) because their all in the pocket of the insurance companies who lobby them endlessly and donates money to their campaigns. We need to stand up and demand with our votes and our wallets healthcare reform for all Americans regardless of class.

1. Not ever one does.
2. The ones that do are trying to find a way out of it. But it is like being hooked on drugs. It is so painful to get off that even knowing in the long term you will be better off it is still hard. The cost to get off is very high for many reasons. Budgets go from year to year. Knowing that if you pay a very, very large amount today mean that you will not see a return for 10 years or so keep many from paying. This goes for most budgets not just govt. If there is ever a cheap transfer you will end up with the US as being the only country with Socialized Medicine . The ones who have it will changed over so fast the the Left in the US will never know or understand what happen.

"no one execpt people who've in no way used it oppose socialised medicine"? different than in line with probability the people who left those countries back right here. My cousins spouse from France as an occasion. Her mom have been given ill after she became 70 and that they does not hide her. She died from an ailment which will have been dealt with. there is likewise the undeniable fact that there is not something interior the form which factors the federal government the ability to impose that crap on us. wellness care is a private difficulty, the federal government isn't there to run our lives. in case you like a central authority to guard you from cradle to grave pass on your precious eu countries, yet bypass away us to our freedom. Do you already know that for the duration of the previous the federal government fairly lots destroyed our unfastened marketplace gadget wellness care became lots greater much less costly. the federal government touches something it fairly lots turns to crap

Keep an eye on those other countries here the next few years when the baby boomers (they are a world wide phenomena) start hitting geriatric. In the next decade it will not surprise me to see somewhere in the world state sanctioned euthanasia. Several systems are already strained and there have been many hospitals to go under, it is not going to get better.

Good question...and the only response is that some people do not want others to have the same kind of access to health care as those of financial means....I mean really...could you imagine what the country might be like, if we all could see a doctor when we are sick.....(That's sarcasm for you Rep's/cons, with no sense of humor)......Imagine the chaos at every single hospital and every single doctors office...over run by those that couldn't afford health insurance before....They will be coming out of the wood work...or "Hollers" on a daily basis....and omg, we couldn't have them holding up the VIP's of society for some minor kidney failure.... I mean some people have important conditions to consider, like breast implants and need fast service from the hospital......(again sarcasm, there "no humor" rep/con @sses)

Because once a government program is born it takes an act of God to kill it. Either that or a revolution and the hired help does not get fired, they get shot! It is about time for several acts of God around the world. I do not want to live through the revolution. I would be one of the ones stood in front of the wall. Not for working for the government but for having been one who had advocated the revolution!

We have medicare. Most recipients are pleased with medicare and the administrative costs are relatively low. Except -- of course -- for the medicare drug program which is a mess and was designed by and for drug companies.
Everybody under sixty five is left out of a system that works.
Other countries are too smart to have our system.

Since the wealthiest 10% of Americans already have insurance, these 2 political parties don't see the need. Hopefully, the Democrats will follow through this time if they win the election.

Every other country does not have it. Many but not all western nations have it, and it doesn't work.
And just because everybody else is doing something doesn't mean you should, as in "if everybody else jumped off a cliff..."
