I am shopping tomorrow for the dinner and I make everything from scratch. it is a lot of hard work but so worth it to carry on the tradition of my grandma and mom (both have passed away) I was lucky enough to get the recipes three months before my mom died.

I am soooooooo gonna go on THAT DIET after the holidays. HONEST. pfft! yeah right.

I'm planning to....

I've been sick most of this year and may not b up to it. Usually, we go out to lunch at Golden Coral and then I cook a Turkey dinner for us at home. This year, I'm thinking I might just call the supermarket and order the meal and then add a dish or two of my own. That might save me some work. But my DH might miss his trip to the G.C. this year..... I think he enjoys the outings.... Either way, we are looking forward to it.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Yes... For some reason my mom "forgot" how to cook around the time I turned 16 and started cooking... and my sisters DAMN SURE didn't inherit the cooking gene.

Until they make a microwave oven you can shove a turkey in and nuke it. (Can you do that?) It will be a local restaurant for me and my mother on Thanksgiving.
