As a moderate I tend to be against abortion. Alot of mothers were uneducated, less than 16 years old, and the father ran off and they decided to not be selfish and take care of their responsiblity. Also how can people say scott peterson and other type of murderers who kill woman are double murderers but not consider abortion doctors or woman who get an abortion for murder.

It's about the right to control ones own body.

Will you surrender control of your body to the government like you want women to do?

LOL

This man never would.

They aren't confused at all. They don't consider abortion to be murder. That's where you and they part ways. Since they don't consider it murder and they rightfully maintain no one has the right to tell a woman what to do with her body, there is no confusion involved. There are many more women than 16 year old girls who seek out abortion services. The largest age group are women between the ages of 25 and 35, and they aren't all liberals.

A court of law or a jury can confidently assume that a woman who is into her third trimester intends to deliver a baby. The baby is capable of living outside of the womb at this point. Again, you are confusing the issue by assuming abortion doctors or women who seek out abortions think it's murder. They don't! They don't follow or agree with what you believe about it. That makes their perspective entirely different than yours, it's that simple.

alright badgerfan lets talk. if a woman gets raped and conceives a child .are you saying she has to keep this child even though the chances are that the father obviosly has issues maybe drugs? now this woman has to go not only threw the torment she has already experienced now because of the desion to prosecute women who commit "MURDER" now she has to not only give birth to a unwanted child but the disgust of having to carry it for nine months and a life of memories of it but you are saying she should not have a choice hello this is amerca and we do have choices and you are going to deny us that right?

Well, I had to read that with the word Liberal taken out, cause that has no bearing to me.

I think abortion is a choice that has to be made at times, but should not be used as a contraceptive.

As for the killing a woman while pregnant, which is a good question, I think the woman didn't have a choice there. And you will notice most are long gone in the pregnancy.

the same reason some conservative women do but they are not confused as you imply. abortion is a bad option but sometimes the only option, that option can not be taken away. until you are in the same situation you are in no position to discuss who is being selfish or not accepting their responsibility. as far as Peterson goes it is the same as with many of our laws we use them as we feel fit at the time. selective enforcement, selective prosecution, selective sentencing. as stated above abortion is only an option in 3rd trimester in the case of the mothers life in jeopardy.

BC Gal - i pray you are never raped but you don't have the right to claim that someone who was is in any way selfish
do you think the choice of abortion is easy for anyone?

It's all about circumstances.... the 17 - 18 year old female who gets raped and 3 months later has an abortion because she ...1) isn't ready for a child and 2) doesn't want a constant reminder of the rape and 3) doesn't think its fair for the child....Is a hell of a lot different than the woman who wants the baby, plans to carry to full term...and then BLAM....gets killed by a f**king sick a**hole....That's a prime scenario of why it should be a woman's right......Any questions??? lol

you're ignorant. scott peterson was charged as such because conner was viable. double homicide ONLY occurs when the fetus is viable. if the fetus wasn't viable, it's called an unauthorized termination. and abortion IS taking responsibility, whether you like it or not.

Education and prevention is the only way to stop abortions...

If you look at stats from around the world. In country's where abortion is illegal the abortion rate is as high as in countries were it is legal.

Banning it is not going to stop it!

I believe that abortion is not OK under any circumstances. For example, rape. Of course this is a traumatizing event. However, to abort a child on the premise of not having that child "remind" you of the event is pure selfishness. How can living with the thought of murder lurking in your mind daily be any easier? At least with a child, from pain you can also have love and joy.

The same argument holds true for most circumstances. I think that society in general has become quite selfish and "quick fix", which is rooted at a lot of problems, not just the abortion issue.

I agree with the poster with comparison to animal rights. I think abortion occurs because there is a large "out of sight, out of mind" component to it. However, if the fetus were somehow visible prior to aborting it, I think it would occur less frequently.

because, for one abortion is as of right now a choice, in certain circumstances i feel it is ok, and in other's i feel it is DEAD wrong.........but if you believe in heaven and hell and all that jazz (as i do not) then don't judge, live your own life, and deal with your problems, your God will sort them out, or they'll just rot in the ground like me and all the animals, most religious people i know are the most judgemental people in the world, are'nt they suppose to not judge
