It is now day 55 of of 60. I may want to change my mind about it being uncontested. Does my refusal to sign force everything to begin again at day one>

No. Your refusal to sign means that it will be presented to a judge for a decision. You need an attorney like now to contest the divorce. Get one tomorrow so he can file the papers fast to contest the divorce. After the filing, the uncontested can't go before the judge. You will get a court date to have a hearing to decide whats what.

I have been divorced 3 times in Texas.

I live in Texas and I think if you don't sign the divorce request a court date is set and both parties have to appear and state their case in front of a divorce judge. If you do not show then then divorce is granted by default.

If you don't have a lawyer get one right away. Regardless if you sign the paper or not eventually the days will max out and you will be divorced whether you want one or not

Face reality. It is not so bad once you learn how to be honest with yourself.

Good luck.
