It's the voice for me for some odd reason. I love the quiet, soft spoken people. (Yeah sure, then the eyes).

Their demeanor, their grooming, their teeth, their eyes, pretty much in that order. I am firm believer that your grooming etc is an indication of your mental health and how you feel about yourself.

I feel I have always had a 6Th sense about people.

I Have been accused of intimidating people and I really don't mean to.

I do feel the need to observe for a time before I decide how I feel when meeting a new person.

I'm a very good listener and everyone I meet seems to want to open up to me immediately.

We can learn a lot bout a person by listening.

Looks, like eyes, a persons beauty etc. means nothing to me.

Being well groomed really counts.

And most of all the beauty within.

I can't really put a finger on the first thing I notice.

Maybe a pleasant look.

having recently come back from iraq, i see people very differently,

at a distance it is very different from up close

posture, clothing, looking for sags, bulges, unreasonable areas of mass

hands, do they look like workers or conscripts

eyes, is there life, or are they masked

the mouth and any movement in the lips

I also look to see what they are looking at without taking my eyes off of them

(my friend was with me the other night and said i'm paranoid. I told her it is how you stay alive)

I too have limited hearing due to numerous ear infections and subsequent holes in ear drums. So I tend to look at the mouth and eyes to read someone .

Hopefully, their smile. Then, their eyes.Eyes are the windows to a person's soul. Alot of times I do not even hear their voice.

The eyes. The eyes are the soul of the people. Eyes tell you a lot. The "eyes are the mirrow of the soul"

I guess it would have to be the eyes, but not for what you think,
I have found that if people can not look you in the eyes, when they are talking to you, they are probably lying to you.
Second would be the voice.

The eyes are the window to the soul. Plus a lot of other things.

I've always noticed them first, I have no idea why.

The expression on their face, not just the eyes, although they tend to highlight that first impression sometimes. But sometimes it's the smile. For me, it's the entire face.
