So I'm becoming a bit of a star wars fan, and I love the first three episodes. I need to go back and revisit 4, 5, and 6 because I havent seen them since I was like 5. But I know there are alot of star wars buffs out there. And I was just wondering if you ever get to see Yoda (with all this hype surrounding him) actually duke it out and beat anyone?

I mean I understand that the idea with the draw with Duku in episode II is that Duku knew he was in over his head and escaped as soon as he got the opportunity. but still. kinda disappointing.

I was just noticing that today. No. He never wins a fight. You would have thought he would have defeated Count Dooku, but he could not even do that. Dooku breaks lose a tower and Yoda stops what he is doing to focus on the tower. Why didn't he just move the two guys? They were lighter. Or, throw the tower at Dooku's ship? It was doable.

But the answer to your question is No. He never wins a fight.

Does Yoda ever actually HAVE to win a fight? He's this tiny green goblin thing that has become an international symbol of sci-fi (swear to God, if someone corrects me on his actual race and species, I'll gouge their eyes out with a spoon). As far as the world is concerned, he won the moment his character was brought into play. Who doesn't love Yoda? If he came into reality and decided to kill off every human on Earth, he could do it, and we'd probably let him -- because he's Yoda. Technically, he wins ever battle without even fighting.

Good point, I guess his azzkicking was done off camera. It would have been cool to see him chop the crap out of Dooku and have Dooku just barely escape, that would have been "more better". Good call. Though I wouldn't call him shorty if given the opportunity.

Well, he did smack down those two clone troopers pretty good (Ep. III) Other than that, his track record is not too good (as far as the movies go at least)
