If you continue on like this and do well on your SATs -- then you will be qualified to get into these two schools. That is the good news. The bad news is that these schools turn down about 80% of the qualified applicants. But if you ar qualified -- you will ge tinto SOME good school.

Keep working at your grades.

You need to not stress, finish high school, and live your life.

You'll have plenty of time to worry about admission to college. When you do, yeah, those schools are great but that is no guarantee they'd be great for you---you should find that out BEFORE you commit to being there. What you are looking for is the school that has the resources you need and is a good place for you. The best fit. There are plenty to choose from and the choice doesn't need to be made in the 9th grade.

BTW, wouldn't your race be African-Canadian?

Wow!!! I'm a 9th grader in the US, and if I had a list like that, I wouldn't be worried. Have you taken the SAT or ACT yet? If you have, then good for you, looking at your record I'd assume that you'd get good scores. Being African American may or may not change things, however there are certain scholarships (if not admissions) available to people of different ethnic goups). I think you have an amazing chance!

Congrats.. you have a very good chance of getting into Stanford, Yale or any other top-notch college in the US...

However, you're still young and will have time to think about college in the future.. so continue to have a 4.0 GPA and those great ec's...

GOOD LUCK!

It all depends on your SAT/ACT scores. Right now you have enough to get in, but you need good test scores, too. Being African American does help you, but not as much as if you chose a public American school. You might want to also consider applying to UC Berkeley. It's just as good as Stanford and Yale.
