Senators LA Kings trade rumor. If you do not know what the possible trade is, here is its...
Sens give up Ray Emery, Eaves, Hennessey, and Zubov and would receive Jason Labarbera and Kopitar...
Being a Sens fan I look at it and I don't know how much I like it... mainly because I would really miss Emery. But... I don't know. What do you guys think?

The player is Ilya Zubov, a Sens prospect...
Rumor comes from Senators guy on HockeyBuzz who said he confirmed this with "three credible sources"...
He also said that it could deal with Frolov instead of Kopitar.
Personally I think that this thing is not going to happen at all, but whatever.

I'd like more about this because neither the Senators nor the Kings have a player named Zubov.
Labarbera would make a great back-up to Gerber, at almost 28, he's past his chance of being a true #1 goalie in the NHL, so being a back-up on a team like Ottawa is probably his true calling. Kopitar would look in a Senators uniform (although I think he would look better in Blackhawk red!)
Emery and Gerber cannot co-exist in Ottawa. Most people believe that Gerber is the better goalie, and he is the higher paid of the two. So, that means that eventually the shoe has to drop and one of them will be dealt. Emery is severalk years younger and commands better trade value. Patrick Eaves and Josh Hennessy are dime a dozen players. Good work ethic, but don't expect HOF credentials. Skills are easily replaced.
I think such a deal would be win-win. Los Angeles greatly improves their goaltending situation and their experience. Ottawa loses some salary, allows a single goalie to run with the #1 job, and adds a young potential superstar to go with the ones they already have.
I have to admit, it stymies me that any team would give up a Kopitar...................

This rumor is false. The Kings have no intention of giving Kopitar away for any price. Emery is expendable with Martin Gerber playing well, and with a few teams looking for goaltending, you may be able to trade him for a role player and/or draft picks. With the way you are playing right now you don't want to mess up the chemistry of the team by making moves you don't need to make. Keep the team as is.

If the Kings have a brain, they won't make the trade. They do need a goalie, but for Kopitar, it's too much. And who's Zubov? An AHLer? The only Zubov I know of in the NHL plays for Dallas.

This is a joke right?
Kopitar is the FUTURE of the Kings, and unless someone offers Ovechkin or Crosby he's not going anywhere.
Emery for LaBarbera and Armstrong maybe!

Great trade for the Sens if you ask me. Horrible for the Kings. Absolutely HORRIBLE!! Theyd recieve a goalie who had one good season last year, for an two up and coming stars in labarbara and kopitar.

Zubov??????? Me confused?
Obviously, this would be for the LAKings to improve their goaltending and they give up a great young player to do it. Bryzgalov would cost them no players and MUCH cheaper. Emery just signed a contract that pays well-over 3 million per year.
Makes absolutely NO SENSE. Must be from Yahoo.
