i just took and IQ test on the net and got 124
my question is what is the average...and does it relate to age? (im 17)

Yes it does relate to age.

It is meant to show intellectual age divided by chronological age. (that's why they call it Intelligence Quotient)

that's why -by definition a score of 100 is average -
a 17 year old with the intellect of the average 17 year old would have an IQ of 100.

Apparently you have the intellectual level of the average 21 year old.... or so...

IQ is just one measure of intelligence. And any person would vary a bit depending on how well they are thinking on the day of the test.

Average is a range from 85 to 115, low average to high average. It is not dependent on age. The same average applies to everyone. However, online IQ tests are not real IQ tests. They are fun and interesting to do, but your score on a real IQ test may not be the same.

the average score is 100. anything is it is very good. I don't think it relates to age. You could have a high IQ at 100, for all that matters.

The test is structured so the average score is 100. 124 is higher than 92% of the population.

It depends on what instrument you use but most have the average as 100.
