I dated this guy for a couple months. He hadn't dated anyone in over eight years. Earlier this week we attempted to have sex for the first time but he couldn't keep an erection. He also refused to do anything to help me achieve climax.
yesterday I learned the only was he can achieve climax is through masturbation.
What is his special problem called and is it treatable?

I forgot to add a detail. I don't mean that he masturbates with me present or he needs me to help him out. I mean he goes into the bathroom by himself to achieve climax. Masturbation has completely replaced sex for him.
I want to know what this disorder is called and if its treatable because I care, even though we will not be together again.

Wow, that friend of yours is very strange. It sounds like he has a bunch of sexual hangups and needs to get into therapy. Maybe he was molested as a child? Maybe he's gay?

some people are asexual and nothign can be doen to cure it since it is as normal and natural for them is homosexuality is for gay people and heterosexuality is for straight people. Besdies since you aren't going to date him again why even worry about it. He likes his sex a particular way and you like yours in a different manner. he hasnt dated anyone in over 8 years so alls hes had is his own hand. hes gotten so used to the feel of his own hand that hes lost the ability to respond to different sensations. its not permanent, he just has to adjust to the feel of sex again. if you really like this guy i wouldnt give up on him just because hes having trouble keeping it up.
