I am replacing my thermostat on my heat pump. I am replacing a Janitor HPT18-60 with a Ritetemp 8082c. My old stat had the following terminals Y(Yellow wire) G(Green wire) R(Red Wire) O(Orange wire) W2(White wire) E (Brown wire) and C(Blue wire). I followed the directions provided and it said to tape off the brown wire that had been connected to the E terminal... Now I hear the unit outside fire up, but the blower is not working. Any suggestions?

I'd suggest taking a look at the following website: http://www.ritetemp-thermostats.com/Wire_Names___Detailed_list.html

It provides step-by-step instructions for different wiring setups, and contact information if what they have posted isn't enough.

From what you've written, sounds like you have a heat pump with 2 stages of auxillary/emergency heat.

Red = +24V
G = Fan
Y = Compressor
O = Orange - cold transfer (energized in cooling mode)
W2 = 2nd Stage Aux Heat
E = 1st stage Aux Heat/Emergency Heat
C = Common

What troubles me with this setup is that you have both a Blue and an Orange wire. In the past, the blue would sometimes be energized when the heat pump were in "heat" mode

The first thing I would do would be to trace the green wire to make sure your fan circuit is connected properly, since that appears to be what you are missing.
