i bought a molly today and the guy in the pet store said she was pregnant so how long before she gives birth

Depending on how far your molly had been pregnant, it should take from 3-4 weeks.

it actually depends how pregnant your molly is....you should have ask the guy when they got the fish...but mollies give birth to 1-3 months depending on the water conditions of the water..(temparature,enviroment) in the tank.Feeding also affects it. last time i bought a guppy and a molly and unexpectedly the molly gave birth the next day to 35 frys and i wasn't able to catch them all....maybe some wereeaten...I would advice that you get a breeding net ...=)

I don't know,I wasn't present at the insemination. Molly gestation periods can be a short as 28 days and maybe even twice that long.

Livebearers give birth to fry in 28 days.

Well depends how far she is into her pregnacy. Anywhere from 3 - 4 weeks.

pregnancy for livebearers is generally 28day but with out knowing how long she has been pregnent there is no way to tell for sure.
