im 14 now, but when i started i was like ummmm 11 (6th grade) lets see, i was in my room playing something, and i felt all weird and i went to the bathroom and i started freaking out see that i was bleeding but i didnt say ANYTHING to my mom! and i was hurting so bad! i was crying everytime i was alone. and i went out shopping at the mall and i couldnt even stand straight! and when i got it, it was just a few days before 6th grade started, so i need to try on clothes and all that, but also i didnt even use real pads i use toilet paper lol, and i would through away my underwear because i was afraid my mom would find out (i dont know why! i just didnt want anyone to know) well one day i woke up and saw that i wasnt bleeding anymore so i went to school without anything! and i can home and i saw it was all over my pants!!! and so i put the pants in the hamper and my mom saw them in there, and took them out and asked if my sister wore them and she said no, and so i ran! i hid lol and then finaly my mom found me and asked me and i said yes, and i was all embarrassed but i felt like a big load was off my shoulders, and this lasted 3 weeks! i thought all periods would fill that bad and last that long, but i was wronge, im glad my mom found out or else i would have never lived through that without pads and med lol

oh!! I was 12 and started my period right before the last day of school. Needless to say my mom never told me much. I was bleeding like a stuck pig and bleed all over.
In HS, age 15; I had the worst one. I coughed and gushed and had blood all the way down my leg and I was wearing light pink stretch pants.
Then when I was 34, I went to a Ladies thing at another church and I bleed through a super tampon, and a big fat maxi. NICE!
So, my ObieOne Gynobi put me back on t he pill and life is a bit better. PERIOD!

I was in 6th grade, new to the school and went into the bathroom because I didn't feel well because I was getting my first period. A girl came in to see how I was since I was gone from class too long and the teacher was worried. I went to flush the toilet and my lunch money fell in! Hey, I love lunch, so I had no problem reaching in and getting that money! She was impressed. LOL.
She and I became like sisters after that and had a very long close relationship through our 20's.

13. My mom works midnights, so shes gone from 5:30 PM to 9:00 AM. It was about 11:30 PM, and I started getting really bad cramps. I went into the bathroom, and screamed. I thought I was dying. So I called my mother, and she told me that I was okay, and I had just gotten my period. I didnt sleep that night, and I was up crying for most of it.

I was 11! I went to the toilet and noticed blood on my underwear. Nothing interesting... My best friend was 4 years older than me though, and so she had started some time ago. I used to always joke with her that i'd finally started, so when i was actually telling her the truth she refused to believe me.
I know a good one - when my cousin started she stayed hidden in the loo and wrote on a piece of paper that she'd started her periods. she peeped through the door and ordered her brother to give this message to thier mother. Her mother was spoiling her throughout her first period, which made the brother jealous. He decided to write his own note, in which he also 'started his periods' to his mother. Didn't work.

I was 6 days away from my 11th birthday had a big party planned. I remember it was a Sunday morning i woke up and just freaked out.I went and had a chat with my mom she explained what was happening. I went into the bathroom and kept crying why me? I kept thinking what a birthday present. I look back now and laugh about the situation and it is something i will never forget.

Mine started at 13 and I was on an overnight trip with my dance team and one day I woke up and went to the bathroom came out and asked my older friend for a pad for later and put toilet paper in my panties and my mom made me wash the car and I took so many breaks from the car from cramps that I finally told her she freaked out lol

I was 11,I was at my grandparent's felling tired when i got home i was outside talking with my mom and all of a sudden i had really bad cramps and started my period, i ended up having such bad cramps it lasted 2 days straight and i was puking not able to eat for 2 days. ever since then when i got it i got the same way until last year where now i have like no cramps at all

Mine is a heart breaker. I was 12 and on a school field trip, and you guessed it. I was mortified to say the least. The best part was that no one and I mean no one had any supplies, so my Teacher took me to the nearest town for the the approrite stuff. Really bad, something like that you never forget, Thankx for reminding me!

I was eleven, and I was in seventh grade. I really wanted it because I wanted to grow up, and I was talking to a friend I had about how she had gotten hers and I hadn't, and I remember she said I was lucky that I didn't have it. So then, I went home, and I was changing for bed, and I had a tiny amount of blood in my panties. So then I pretended I was mad at her for jinxing me when really I was pleased, which is silly because having your period absolutely sucks.
