Can someone provide me a source for finding this out?

I'm not interested in learning about going to jail the night one is arrested for being drunk in public, rather after one has appeared in court.

Thanks.

No, it is not.

Public Swearing & Intoxication (18.2-388) is a Class 4 Misdemeanor.

You obviously understand that a drunk can be incarcerated until sober or when turned over to a responsible person. If convicted of a Class 4 Misdemeanor, they can be punished with up to a $250 fine but no Jail or Prison time. (Of course, there are additional court fees on top of the fine.)

Follow the links I have listed below for more information.

Good luck!
