I do. Its really awkward for me at my new school. >_> It's almost socially unacceptable to have a large vocabulary and be well read. I get so many sideways looks. I think its really unfortunate. So resent my intelligence in a way because its socially limiting for me =[

I used to but as you get older you grow to appreciate it. Just use it as needed. People get resentful with a smart person about. Dont abandon your wit though, just meter it out. Keep it in your head sometimes and just smile. : )

It is hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys, right? Your education will stay with you long after you leave school, so don't dumb yourself down. There is a reason why people use the LCD (lowest common denominator) in entertainment and social programs. If you really want to be unique, don't follow the herd, be yourself and use your vocabulary!

NEVER! dumb yourself down because your school is full of dumber people
trust me, be yourself, just because you smart doesnt mean you have to be socially unacceptable.

for me in school my smarts made me very quick witted and funny. so use those smarts to make quick jokes that fit the moment. people will laugh, notice you, talk to you and bam! friends. more to the point be yourself and find people that are nice, and you could see being friends with.

good luck at your new school

if you ever have anymore problems or whatever feel free to email me, i love helping people.

I feel uncomfortable with my intelligence while at work. I am working on a defense project so many of the people I work with are conservatives and we all know a kindergartner is more intelligent than a conservative.

yea some times ignorance is bliss... being too smart one has a habit of seeing through the bs easily and that can cause problems and resentment ... have learned to let people do as they want and don't sweat the small stuff..eat molten glass ...make art ...live free...don't let the brain dead bring you down to their level....

Indeed it is my friend indeed it is.

I have such a vast vocabulary, that i can merely show a measly portion of it.

And even though i shroud it in secrecy i am concidered weird.

So i am forever doomed to hide my intelect from the world :'((((

Well, if I had some intelligence, I would probably resent it at times.

It takes intelligence to not present yourself as super smart.

Sometimes. The teacher will call on me if nobody else raises their hand. I especially hate it when I don't know the answer. Ugh!!
