My shoulders, neck, and jaw is stiff so I went to my doctors and he said I had a shot 2 years ago. The next day I went to the hospital and the doctor said I should be fine cause the wound wasn't red. What can cause stiffness if I had my shots or could it just be stress? What else can I do?

Get to a DR. Tell the other Dr to shove it, you're not stupid! Go with your gut feeling!

Tetanus shots are good for 10 years.
Perhaps stress and fear of getting sick have caused and magnified a feeling of stiffness in your neck, jaw and shoulders. That area is commonly affected by stress. Ask your doctor about these symptoms.

If you had your shots up to date a few years ago, you should be fine. The stiff neck and shoulders could be from being on the pc too long! Or you could have slept wrong!

If you had your tetanus shot recently and the doctor said it's okay you probably don't have tetanus. I know it's called "lockjaw" but it actually causes problems with many muscles, not just the jaw. Perhaps you are worried about getting sick? Feel free to go back to the doctor if you are concerned.

I would suggest soaking your feet in Epsom Salt. That's the old way of dealing with it, and should draw out any infection. Peroxide on the wound might be helpful as well. If you're very concerned though, go back to the dr.

I don't think that is a good sign. In fact when you are stiff after stepping on a nail it indicates something is very wrong. Get a second opinion FAST!

The should have given you a tetanus booster just to be safe. If you are really having the symptoms you describe, you need to go to the ER fast. Look up lockjaw and see if it describes your symptoms. I hope you will be ok, but Do Not ignore this. It could be stress, but you have to make sure.

It could be brought on by stress and "thinking" about the possibility of Lock-jaw. Im sure if you have been checked over, you are fine.

it can be two things.
1 you may think your jaw is stiff and its really not
2 you need to go to another doctor for a second opinion

If you had a tetanus shot only 2 years ago it probably isn't lockjaw. If it keeps up you should definitely get yourself checked out. You never know............
