In my state, I can (since we have open primaries without registration). However, I consider it to be very unethical to raid the other party's primary. Politics should be about groups putting forward what they believe are the best policies and the voters getting to choose between those policies. When you try to get a weaker candidate nominated from another party, you are reducing the options available to the voters which in the long run will lead to worse policies being adopted.

The one circumstances in which I would consider voting in another party's primary would be if there were absolutely no races in my party and there was a primary in the other party for a position that would be unopposed in the general election. In that case, I might choose to vote in that one race because the primary election would be the only election.

I can- I always register as unaffiliated so that I can vote in either primary, but that sounds like a waste of a vote to me. I'd rather vote for the candidate that I want to win, then throwing at someone I hope loses.

Yes, I would vote for Mike Gravel in a second in the Dem primary if I could. And if it wasn't for Ron Paul(who I registered Rep for), I would.

Mike Gravel - heh! He's a wild and crazy Alaska man! You gotta love that.

Oh wait - I favor the Dems anyway.

The opponents should be strong on both sides and it should be the best two fighting it out.

Unless all Republicans close up their ranks and unite together they can not stand up to the Hillary Clinton phenomenon. She is just unstoppable !!
