having a huge family come on over me and my sisters are the ones cooking this year me and my sister want to cook new and different thingsthis year plase help me only have one week to figure this out

For me it wouldn't be thanksgiving without turkey, mashed potatoes, our family's stuffing, and pie. I also like to serve a vegetable (corn and/or green beans usually), rolls, some sort of jello for the kids (and the kids in all of us), cranberry sauce (it's mom's favorite), and wine (and sparkling alcohol free wine).

Well, these are MUSTS and then you can always go to a recipe site like Foodnetwork.com to find unique ways to prepare them:
Turkey
dressing (stuffing)
mashed potatoes
yams
cranberry sauce
pumpkin pie.
