Maybe it's a question that can only be answered by the asker? Or, maybe people are so worried about their "points" (which you even mention in this question) or what others in their "clique" will think of THEIR response to answer it honestly? Maybe they feel too close to the question personally? I THINK about my replies and take the time to answer it as if I'm talking to the person and put myself in their shoes, as I'd WANT MY questions to be answered. Some people just don't know how to try on different shoes and prefer to go with the flow to earn points. My feeling is that if I can share some insight or help someone avoid mistakes I made, or gain from knowledge I've gathered, even if I don't receive a lot of points or be chosen for "best answer", or am voted "no" I will do whatever I can to help them to avoid some of the stupid hurdles I created for myself in my life and answer the question honestly.

i think it does mean that there lazy or the question is like 3 pages long... lol i like when the questions are short and sweet.. i hate that i have to read a book before the question is asked.. there are some people that like that but that is just not mean.. i will read them once in a while but i have to be in the mood.. lol

It doesn't necessarily mean any of the above.
There are so many questions as well as categories to choose from, sometimes people don't know where to start.
I have noticed controversial questions & questions that raise ebrows, seem to be answered expediotiously.

It depends really. Maybe they do not like the question so don't answer it. Or it could be they are not understanding the questions. Some may choose specific categories and so forth.

No, it just means your question wasn't really worth answering, even for 2 points.
