i am in my 30s and where is the best place to meet them. i am not into the bar scene and what kind of social functions are there

You can improve greatly your social and conversational skills, if you are willing to put some time and effort into it. Read some books on it, and practice, practice, practice every chance you get. Not just with attractive women, but with all women, regardless of age or looks, and also with men, children, grocery store clerks, everyone you meet.
Look them in the eye. Smile. Give a genuine compliment or ask them a genuinely interested question. Really listen to their answers, instead of mentally formulating your reply while they're still talking. You can learn how to do this. Maybe you'll never be Mr. Popularity, but you can learn to be the kind of person people enjoy talking to.
As long as you have bad social and conversational skills, your chances of hitting it off with a decent woman are just about nil.

Whats wrong with the bar scene? Do you consider yourself better than people who hang at bars? Just go to a bar and chill there for awhile. If its not your kinda bar then go to the next one and so on. Going on "dates" may not be for you because its the guys job to entertain the girl for a few hours and that can get stressful if you dont hit it off right away. Oh dont forget to listen to her no matter whatever the hell shes talking about because she gives direction to the conversation and if you dont pick up on it she will get bored.

Well first stop calling them females. It makes me wonder what you're looking for female birds? female dogs? female humans? what?! You can try speed dating, everyone is there for the same thing (looking for someone to date) not just someone to have sex with (although I suppose there could be people there for that too). And you also don't have to spend that much time with them, only a few minutes and it's onto the next person.

You meet females all the time. Every day. You pass them on the street. One gives you a egg mcmuffin in the morning sometimes. It's after you meet them that you have the problem.

With that Can Do attitude, I can't understand why they aren't lined up at your door. Get a haircut, put on some clean clothes and call an escort sevice.

well, i guest, first you have to improve yourself on that. Get tips from friends or books. And then try them, practice them and make them work for you. If you were really looking to meet girls, you can try at the malls, parks, library, internet etc etc.
