My girlfriend is looking for answers, she has Yasmin birth control with 21 pills in the pack. She was told to start taking them on the first day of her period which is today. She wants to know if she is supposed to take the Friday pill first because it is friday or start at the first pill because its the first of the pack and to ignore the days on the pill??????????????

Pick a day to start the pills and start on that day. I generally start taking them 4-5 days after I start because the pills will likely stop your period which could throw off your cycle. When your period stops or slows greatly start taking the pills, and ignore the days on them. This is best if you ever have irregular cycles. I had the same problem or similar. I started them to regulate my cycle and started after taking one pill. Called my Dr. and she said to stop taking the pills (becuase I had only taken one) and start taking them at the end of my period. (Straight for the Gyno's mouth.) hope this helps.
