Being scared is a natural emotion. It is because familarity breeds comfort. Doesn't make it right though. Abuse or whatever, becomes routine. Weigh the pro's and con's. I did that for 5 years. Then you wake up and make a decision. Look into the future and picture you two at 70 and do you see you guys looking back at life with happiness or regret. Been there and am now going through it too.

You will be fine! Everything's going to be alright! Find a comedy to watch! Do not watch any sappy love stories at this time! Have you seen the Shrek movies? Shrek 3 is out! I know that will make you laugh! Ice Age is really hilarious, too! RV with Robin Williams is pretty funny too.

You must have your reasons, now get ready for the hard part. The nights can be long. Just keep occupied with other things or enlist the help of friends to keep you company until you get past the hard part. Changing focus is tough, but it is important if you really want to move on. Goo luck to you and God Bless.

O.K., first thing that you need to do is to breath. Now breath again. Now that you have oxygen going again you can think. Congratulations on making a move. Now if he gets the hint and changes things then you have done him some good and there is hope for him yet. If not then you have freed yourself from oppression and can move on with a happier life. Good Luck in all that you do.

Take one day at a time. Look forward to a new life and an exciting new beginning. You will go through emotional ups and downs. This is normal. You did what you knew was right.
Good Luck.

Write. Write everything that you're feeling down. Write a letter to him (that you don't have to send). Write a letter to yourself. Write about your dreams for your new life without him. Make a drink and then write s'more. Get all your feelings out, it'll help keep you sane! You should write invitations to all of your girlfriends for tomorrow night. You need other women around to talk to. Make some margaritas and talk to them about everything you wrote about tonight! Good luck :)

Hello. I'm new here to find out questions about my relationship I have. For your question, I'd say if he treated you like h**l, then you did great. Being nervous would be totally normal, but i think you will be fine!

Just enjoy the high you feel. You took control of an out of control situation. I hope that somehow you will learn to take good care of yourself and your home. You don't need a bad guy.
