I'm thinking about going to NYFA for acting, but I'm not sure. I think it's wiser to go to college and get involved in acting classes/community theatre etc....
P.S. I want to learn to act for film.

BOTTOM LINE I want to know if you heard anything about NYFA and if it's a good program? Do they teach you the business side of acting? I could always do one of their summer programs.

They are horribly expensive. Even their summer workshops.
You can do better in LA. or in Atlanta or 'Austin, or Dallas or San Diego. or Denver. For more info, read my profile and write me at my aol address where I advise people how to become actors for free. ps-College is not a good place to go to learn about film acting.

It's a poor quality shool. It will not get you anywhere in the industry.

I recommend Columbia University or NYU. Both are well-respected and will do more for your career, than NYFA.
