I like the scale model solar system. Not the cheapo non-scale kind that most kids make, where all the planets are about the same size and the Sun is not much bigger and they are all close together on a table. I mean a real scale model where the Sun is 100 times bigger than Earth and the distances between the planets are so great that it won't even fit on a football field.

well im not sure but for mine i did how far something can travel in space over the time of a year
u no make lots of fake estimates and stuff because its not like the teacher would know so just try making some answers up about how far things move in space

Why not use foam balls to make a demo of the planets and how they revolve around the sun - and the distance between them and their colors, etc. ?
Or, make a poster with some facts about and pictures of each planet...

collect pics and info about that new comet... its a hoot
or do the papier mache thing... make a ball to represent the Sun and a scale model earth... with the Moon scale distance... its kinda fascinating
