Unless you plan in drinking the hair colourant than this is safe.

I had my hair coloured both times I was pregnant, I asked my doctor, midwife and hairdresser about it and all said it was OK. So in my experience it's fine.

I mean, how many women get their hair done when they don't even KNOW they are pregnant? Lots I am sure. And what about hairdressers themselves? They'd have to give up working when they are pregnant and they don't.

If it was seriously THAT dangerous it would be widely advertised and widely known, and hairdressers would be asking their clients if they were pregnant and making them sign waivers, and the home hair colour boxes would come with warnings etc.

I have never heard of anything happening to a woman or her baby because she got highlights.

I had my hair done, my nails done, massages and more. The girl who did my hair would make sure a perm or other treatment was not going on at the same time- mostly because the smell made me sick. Once, I went home with the highlights in my hair and washed them out at an agreed time. Be practical yet smart. :-)

Yeah Im no longer so confident with reference to the purple...yet you will seem extremely good with blonde streaks...in basic terms understand that in case you do get blonde it dries your hair out extremely undesirable...it would desire to alter into crispy and it wont be delicate so I advise applying Garnier anti-split ends treament...that's supplied in a sprint around container with a pump...and length and capability shampoo and conditioner...ive ruined my hair dying it yet now that I truthfully have all started applying those products my hair has been large and delicate...

My doctor says that it is safe now. The only thing is the smells and sitting under that awful hair dryer. Take some water with you and just try to relax.

My doctor told me no during my first trimester. I wouldn't take the chance for something like highlights. Just wait a few weeks until you're out of your first trimester and then get it done.
