For example, say a Contact has only ever answered your questions does it make you nervous?
It might be of innocent curiosities in some cases but I know of one situation where I have had to block someone who was acting in a malicious manner and tried to attack every Q&A I had given. They tried to attack me on a personal level.
what have been your experiences?

I typically will *STAR* peoples questions or answers if they are interesting even if I have not yet answered their questions.
Maybe in some cases it could be this sort of thing??!

They have only answered my questions and not yet anyone elses.

Edit:
I respect and admire almost every contact that I have.
Most all have given me something, it has been either another point of view, something to think about, humour or friendship.
I wanted to clarify this point.

No, Jasmine N. i have never said anything that could offend them. I once answered a question that they had posted in Sculptures. It was thorough and informative, at least I thought it to be.
It certainly was not of a "personal" nature so I can not understand that individuals issues or problems with me.

Hi Soundproof! We've not actually met but we've answered some common questions, I respect your contributions and so... I feel like I can join in this forum:) Yes.. I've just been through an episode where someone's been repeatedly reporting me for violations.. thus deleting my answers. At the least, it's unnerving. I'm just here to have fun.. to help (if I can).. and learn things myself. As I've never once uttered an unkind remark, voiced a singular preference (except perhaps to advise).. just simply opting for facts... I can't understand why someone would be on my case... it just doesn't make sense. I don't allow e-mail.. yet somehow, some still gets through. Hmmm.. I don't understand. You could change your name and avatar.. the good-guys will still recognize your wonderful answers.... but it may throw the stalkers a curve. Don't disappear on us... we need you!

A fan.

No, I haven't experienced stalking, (on here anyway) but I''m fairly new to this. I thought Answers was mostly for fun and info. Too bad some people have to vent their spleen on others just for kicks. Seems like "Clueless" has just proved that point. Sorry to hear of your troubles, though. Maybe if someone is just answering your Q's they admire the way your mind works and can't be bothered with trivial stuff? Hope all is well now. I enjoy your Q and A's. (No! I am not a stalker!) :) Keep up the good work and ignore the idiots among us!

Well, ^Third^ stars most of my questions, but that's 'cause we're pals. (BTW, sorry to hear of your troubles, Third--I enjoy your Q&A.) :-)

Most of my "stalkers" are friendly, but I've had an occasional malicious "reporting", so I keep my profile private. I also once (unitentionally) irritated a guy to the point that he was creating fake accounts every day in order to send me new hate emails. It was a bit funny for a few days (Okay, maybe I have a strange sense of humor...), but in the end I got tired of it and removed my email link.

There's always going to a few cowardly or malevolent souls trying to ruin our Yahoo fun. Ignore them when you can, block them when you can't. Most of the people on here are perfectly amiable.

Back before the last elections, when I was asking a few questions and responding to many more in Yahoo Politics, there were several political 'nutcases', like the infamous John Skerry, who 'stalked' repliers who didn't agree with, or buy the total b.s. lies of, the far-right agenda pushers in Yahoo.

Myself and a few other moderate free-thinkers were hounded by those posters for awhile. He would follow us to other, non-political sections of Yahoo (like Painting) and attack us there. Skerry even went so far as to follow links I had listed to my blog and my congregation's blog and left nasty replies in both. Even though he was kicked out of Yahoo several times for racial statements he would come back in a Skerry II, then Skerry III, then Skerry IIII, etc.

Outside of that one room in Yahoo I haven't had any other problems.

I would not call him a stalker but i deed experience the same situation as yours. He has nothing to do but criticize my questions in the Philosophy Section. He has not sensitive but to do bad to me. However, he only attack on my question but not on the personal level. I do star my contacts and most of the time i do especially if he/she deserves it. I starred even though i don't answer questions. For me, it is a way of saying hello or hi or if not, a way of acknowledging his or her presence. The stalker you are referring having nothing to do but to **** you. Report it if you want to get rid of that person. That's the only way because that is a clear violation of the community guidelines.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

Not on here, but I've had one in real life. Not saying that this isn't real life, but I think you know what I mean. The worst part is it was a family friend. It really screwed with me for awhile. But I'm not afraid of him anymore. On here a lot of times it's just like you said some jerk who wants to annoy you and pester you. I don't always talk to my contacts and they to me. If they want to communicate with me I will in turn contact them. Sorry to hear about your having had this happen to you.

In newborn and baby, there's a nut called "Illyana's mommy". She has about six user id's and she has stalked and harrassed several people. She has even been caught double posting messages- same message under different user names- even with the same typos and mispellings!- and she denies it's her. Seems like a very sick person. Regardless, it's sad and scary (she has a kid!) People can do this sort of thing on-line.

Oh, yeah, "clueless" down there is clearly one of her multiple personas...this one's truly off her rocker...)

No but I've only been doing this for a little while. And it was probably a good thing you blocked that person. Wonder why he/she were after you. Did you ever say anything mean on one of his/her questions?

Sounds creepy. I've gotten some nasty emails. Especially from R&S, and once from environment/global warming. That one was funny. I told the guy to chill out, and he wrote back just to say "I will not chill out". People like that are just pitiful.

The one only answering your questions, if they are not the malicious one, are making a presentation of their self to you, perhaps to test for a positive response from you. That's my guess.
