LOL! I agree with you. That's just how life is sometimes. Maybe for those who cannot have children they feel that way, but still they could try adoption!

God takes the things we do unthoughtfully and works it out for good. It could be you do not see the gift in it at the time. It is often our foolishness God must work through. Children belong to God...he shares them with us for awhile sometimes. We must be thankful in that respect. I had two miscarriages before I had Ryan. He was a gift from God, and I was thankful. Kids aren't easy for everyone to have. That child that was someones mistake might be a gift that leads a lot of people to a walk with God and make a difference no one else even thinks about. We are very limited in our view of things. In the "Big Picture" there is a greater purpose. In older age it is a blessing to have the love of children and to see the joy of the interaction of your child with their own child. It is a moment beyond your wildest imagination....it touches your heart, sears your mind, and you get a glimpse of heaven. I saw it when Persis was born. So it is ok that you think like you do because you haven't had that experience yet. You will see.....baby girl.....

Its not a religious comment per say, it's more of a spiritual one.
Most people experience an overwhelming sense of love, gratitude, helplessness, honor, bewilderment & an acknowledgement of the vastness of the universe at the birth of their children, it is an honor to be a parent.

When people make that statement, you have to understand what they are trying to say. They are trying to say that children are to be treated with care and love like something precious.
God has much to say about people who mistreat children and much wrath waiting for them, God has a special place in His heart for children and if we claim that we love God, then we have to love what He loves and hate what He hates.
