I'm a business writer and have had many full time jobs that involve travel (in the US as well as Europe and Asia). If you take a journalism class, that would be helpful. If you can write a good memo and communicate clearly, you can open a lot of doors. Here are some of the travel jobs I've had because I'm a good, clear writer:
Corporate publications (editor and photojournalist): sent around the US on assignment writing about distributors introducing new products, distributors doing charitable work (I once interviewed Eunice Shriver re: Spec. Olympics, in her DC office), etc. Trade show manager (throughout US, Europe, Asia--my fave places: Atlanta, New Orleans, Dallas). Reporter for different corporations. Newspaper reporter (just overnight local travel). Also, trade show installers travel all over the country (with companies like GES and Freeman Companies). NRA instructors travel to give firearms classes. Happy travelling!
