Any life we found on Mars would be microbial at best. But, assuming you're an American (from your reference to the American Indian) and assuming American's did find human-like life on another planet and assuming that life wasn't more advanced than us I'd have to say YES.
That's not to say that every American has the "conquer and subdue" attitude, that's to say that a lot do and when you get a group of them together and put them in power, a sort of "hive mind" takes over and everyone just goes along with it.
Perhaps the next stage in our evolution will be to be more kind and accepting, and less paranoid and "club anyone who's different over the head".
Well, that's my two cents. It's just my opinion.

Please, put down the dope and step away from the bong. There is a slight possiblity of underground microbial life on Mars, but if you think we're going to find anything more than that, you have been smoking something and you certainly do not know very much about Mars.

probly not so blatant as it was with the whole "whoever kills the most indians is a big hero" like before, what with all the laws and supposed morals of today. Instead, we will slowly take advantage of them and make a sweat shop for nike and louis vuitton.

If we do discover life forces, changes are they'll be microscopic. If you're asking about aliens in general, I'd say it depends on their intelligence.
