I agree with you 98 %.

I'd give one point more for "Rampant cronyism and corruption", and one less for Media control.

And you forgot to mention one of the root causes - a lousy education system.

1/.Powerful and Continuous Nationalism ?/10
2/.Disdain for Recognition of Human Rights 2/10
3/.Identification of Scapegoat enemies 3or4/10
4/.Supremacy of the Military 10/10 if you mean more powerful than any other country; 0/10 if you mean the military runs the country
5/.Rampant Sexism 4/10
6/.Controlled Mass Media 5/10 controlled by conglomerates, not government
7/. Obsession with National Security 6/10 but somewhat understandable after 9/11
8/. Religion and Government Intertwined 3/10
9/.Corporate Power Protected 6/10
10/.Labor Power is Supressed 5/10
11/. Disdain for the Arts and Intellectuals 2/10
12/. Obsession with Crime and Punishment 4/10; parts of the government, maybe; but not the country as a whole
13/. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption 5/10
14/. Fraudulent Elections 1/10; just because you lose, it doesn't mean the election is rigged. If that were the case, third parties are being "robbed" every election.

1)Nationalism I'll grant, but pride in the country isn't necessarily a bad thing considering the experiment that we're a part of. There's a lot we probably should be proud of. 10/10
2) Disdain? I whole heartedly disagree- you may not think we're pushing hard enough, but to say that we've developed a disdain for human rights is a severe overstatement. It's still a major tenet. 1/10
3) Identification of Enemies - somewhat necessary after an attack on the scale of 9/11, but I'll give you that. 10/10
4) Supremacy of the Military - True, but there are several states far more facist than our own with militaries far inferior to our own. I disagree that this is even a qualification for facism. However, since it's on your scorecard. 10/10
5)Rampant Sexism- Um, prostitution is illegal, slavery too. Women can work, vote, speak in public, wear anything they want, and choose to fight in our armed forces. I think you're nuts. 1/10 - just because there is still a small element that we may never fully be rid of.
6) Controlled Mass Media- If the media were actually all that well controlled, George Bush would be a much more popular figure than he is. Trust me, I work in the media- this chaos isn't controlled. 0/10
7) Obsession with National Security. This isn't really an obsession, it's a valid concern. We were infiltrated, and both of our borders are still wide open and largely undefended. If there were an obsession on a national level, we'd at least have guards patrolling instead of armed rednecks. 3/10
8) Religion and Government intertwined. Religion affects our government, through the primary beliefs of the people and their representatives, but there's really no control exerted. Jerry falwell and Pat Robertson have tried, but have they made this a more Christian nation? Not really- so far there's no requirements that the church be consulted for anything 3/10.
9) Corporate Power Protected- Oh certainly, but again I have to question how that's an aspect of facism. Many facist governments are communist and have no corporations because everything is state owned. But since it's on your list, 10/10.
10)Labor Power is Suppressed- again, I think you're being overly cynical. Yes, the power waxes and wanes, but overall Labor still holds a massive amount of power in our country. The unions are the biggest contributors to the Democrats, which are the majority in our legislative branch right now. When the Longshoreman were locked out of the docks a few christmases back, all commerce from the ports stopped until their deal was resolved. Collective Bargaining is alive and well in America. 1/10.
11) Disdain for the Arts and Intellectuals- maybe in the midwest, but that's just because they don't have any. On either coast, art and reason are alive and well. 4/10.
12) Obsession with Crime and Punishment- Nope, we've still got that whole Innocent until Proven guilty thing going for us, and the police are still required to follow Due Process. I think you're abusing the word "Obsession." 2/10.
13) Rampant Cronyism and Corruption- There's been a noticeable upsurge, but I still wouldn't call it rampant. Try doing business in South Africa or Zimbabwe, and then see what you think about our levels of corruption. 2/10
14) Fraudulent Elections- I don't think you appreciate just how many elections we have every year. Federal, state, county, city, and neighborhoods. I'd have to say that on the whole most are pretty accurate, with a few notable exceptions. 2/10.

By my count that's 59/140, and really discounting the two misplaced categories it would be 39/120. You may not like the direction things are heading, but to suggest they've already arrived isn't objective either.

However this is how you get advertised here ... slightly corrupt, strong military with the "AMERICA RULES" mentality and way too christian. But i may be wrong ... just how you guys look ... oh and of course there are individual differences you can't stereotype and generalise people.

1: 10/10 U-S-A! U-S-A!

2: 10/10 (the democratic congress just approved an AG who approves of torture, so much for political opposition parties)

3: 10/10 (illegal immigrants, blacks, muslims, jews etc etc)

4: 10/10 (no money for poor kid's health care but $88 million for bunker busters)

5: 9/10 (heterosexism is also sexism)

6: 9/10 (CNN is as bought and paid for a corporate mouthpiece as Fox)

7: 10/10 (Dick Cheney keeps a man-sized safe in his office)

8: 9/10 (Pat Robertson just endorsed pro-life and pro-gay rights Rudy Giuliani...so much for values voters, no?)

9: 10/10 (corporate power IS America)

10: 9/10 (labour unions are mostly co-opted this point, if not by organized crime syndicates than by corporatists themselves)

11: 9/10 (why do you think education has been continually and consistantly defunded over the last 20 years?)

12: 10/10 (prison building is the most lucrative angle of the construction and contracting industry in the US today).

13: 10/10 (Gonzalez....nuff said)

14: 10/10 (it's been so long since ANYONE got a majority of the votes among the available electorate that it's not funny....significant portions of the voting age population in the US don't vote at all)

135/140 is my score...

Thats absolutely right. When the towers fell in 2001, that was the push needed to start bringing about a millitarized government (just like hitler and the great reichstag building) . Dont be surprised if we have a dictator within the next 9 years or so. The socialism we have involving letting the mexicans in for the free slave labor de-endustralization of America is the foundation of a fascist country. Say hello to the new *cough* free country. Ohh i mean, Homeland.. wait didnt hitler fashon that word, cause its new to America since 2001? But of corse I have no idea what Im talking about so ill shut up now.

Wow by your standard nearly every nation in HISTORY is identical to fascist Italy, Spain and Chile.

Here is the thing, if we were anything like those nations you and I would not be communicating right now, you would probably be in a reeducation camp. but see you still have the same freedoms you had before.

By the way what standards are you using to justify your scores? Like fraudulent elections, all the evidence shows there was no fraud, so you are basing your answers on your opinion not fact.

Seems to me the only thing close to Fascism here is your questions. you are basically threatening to penalize people who disagree with you. should you give a thumbs down you are silencing other peoples opinions. and you will be rewarding those who agree.

So I guess you are a fascist, by my narrow definitions of what fascism really is.

Russia is much closer than the US to fascism. But the US is slowly moving in that direction too. If we elect a conservative Republican as president one more time, the slide to fascism might become irreversible.

If all of us were to be "objective", we`d say our chances of becoming a fascist regime become much more dangerously possible if we, as a country, become intellectually lazy and expect our leaders to fix everything and take care of us. I then have to ask, what party (ideology) is presently guiding us down that road , and why ?
