its no secret, i AM an astrology believer! i am very glad to have Y!A around....i dont usually tell any of my friends in person or anyone else that i do believe in astrology. unfortunately, i dont get to talk about it much outside of Y!A. i made the mistake of telling someone one time, and they looked at me like i was some kind of alien!

there is an abundance of disrespect toward astrology believers from the non-believers. ignorance is most likely the reason for that. thats no excuse though. i dont believe in religion and i still very much respect anyone with religious beliefs.

as "silly" as it may sound for some of you, there are astrology believers out there! if anyone with any religious beliefs is entitled to tolerance and respect from others, then why cant astrology believers be entitled to the same?? im not implying that astrology is a type of religion, but BELIEFS is the key word here.

what do you think, especially all you astrology believers??

i am simply tired of being criticised and being looked at as a silly peron by some people simply for believing in astrology!

*mistake on the top detail: "persons", not "peron" (sorry).

You sound like an intelligent person from the way you put your question. I think many people equate the belief in Astrology (as opposed to Astronomy) to believing the world is flat. But for entertainment purposes it can be a lot of fun, after all, it's been around for centuries as a way for people to try to make sense of the Universe and their place in it. It's really quite clever!
You have every right to your beliefs whatever they are, so don't worry so much about what others think. Maybe one day you will change your views, maybe not, but have fun with it.
True, Astrology is mentioned as something the God of the Christian Bible disapproves of, but if you don't believe in that God, then there is no conflict. Tell only those who matter and will accept you and your world outlook.

some people dont, because they dont like their sign.
we the reason for that is popular astrology only gives out the sun sign, and people are oblivious that theres more to that.

another reason is, some people cant grasp the big picture.
like, one set of individuals think about details and the little things, their mind works to focus on little deatils, these kind of people have a hard time understanding the concept of astrology.

while the other set of individuals, who are broad minded and has a brain that can see the big picture and sum it all up.
those are the peope that GET astrology. since they see the beauty and order in it.

i feel sorry for the people who doesnt give this amazing discoveries a chance. i really do. astrology is so underrated its getting really stupid.

I swear in my grave its real as the person in front of you.

I grew up with people who thought I was weird because I was into astrology and tarot. I put it down for a while and was very unhappy. Then I picked it back up and it makes me happy, and if the people who are in my life don't like that's fine by me, because I gotta be me. So just keep on being you, you'll feel better in the long run. That's just how it goes, people think astrology is fluff and entertainment but there is a science to it, and it's very beautiful when done correctly.

You're right! I believe in Astrology not just because it describes me to a T but, also because I have experienced it; I have seen it become true with my own eyes.

Like you, I haven't told my friends about it or maybe I haven't told them about the degree to which I believe it.

Most of the people are not able to realize it; they are not all so open-minded. It's not fair or right for us to face this reaction from the part of others but, there's nothing we can do about it. We have the right to decide and so do they. We can't be enforced, however, to share their beliefs just because there are a lot of "them".

I have come to terms with the fact that this is reality. Let them believe whatever they want and we'll do the same.

Wow... I can totally relate to this question. Thanks for asking this..it's pretty much how I feel as well. I agree with everything you said, too. I say Good Job to that, me lad!!

Um, for me, Astrology is very real. I am instantly lured in by the mystery of every scorpio I get to meet....and I don't even know they are scorpios. I almost fall in love just at once with the sensitivity I sense in them. I kind of want to be there for them...or something. lol.

Anyway.....>.> I also am a strong believer of astrology. What pretty much convinced me was getting 3 compatibility reports done for free by an astrologer..and seeing how amazingly true all of them were...with details that there was no way he could've normally known with just our birthdates and genders.

The second thing I encountered which set my belief in stone for me was this site: http://www.librarising.com/astrology/

After seeing that.........wow..........(go look at the difference between the scorpios and the aquarius' or libra's...or the signs of any differing element for that matter....wow.)

After having encountered this site, I took the astro faces project much more seriously. Do people with the same sun, moon, and ascendant look alike?? --> http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6126978263117222451&q=astrofaces&total=7&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=2

Wow..there definitely is some major similarity there

I too am an astrology person, and for some reason, whatever it says has some effect on me whether if it's a very noticable thing or a very small thing. Please, I'm agnostic but I respect people who believe in their religion because it gives them hope, just as how astrology gives me beliefs. Both don't seem irrational.

Don't worry about these non-believers. We know what we're doing and they don't. Unfortunately, they don't have anything batter to do that come here and try to insult us with their ignorance. It's sorta like the 5th graders who pick on the kindergartners. They're just misguided bullies with no friends and nowhere else to go.

I don't mind legitimate questions, but I report the abusive bullies. Maybe if they start racking up the minus points or each attempt, they'll get the clue and go elsewhere

Our beleifs, opinion over important issues are decided
in advance by God in accordance to deeds (good, bad)
of past birth. It is the horoscope of non-beleivers which
make them to criticise us.If someone makes fun at you,
you tell that in a country like India, even if a person doesn't
beleive in astrology, they are oblidged (compelled),to
give their son/daughter's horoscope to other family if
their son/daughter are to get married,
for checking the match,if they do not give, most families
would be reluctant to move on further without horoscope
matching. From this it is evident that most people beleive in
horoscopes.

The same thing happen to me with some of the people from my dad's side of my family. When I told some some of them I believe in something different they think I'm weird. A good example of this is the woman whom my cousin is married to. He is a Capricorn and his wife is a Taurus, everytime I talk to her about something that is out-of-this-world, she tells me "I don't want to hear that stuff!" I do believe in God, My cousin's sister who is also a Capricorn let me talk about stuff like that to her. The rest of her family always tells me you need to read the bible. Their mom, who is a Pisces, tells me to go to church. I didn't tell them that I believe in Astrology yet. They are all Catholics. One person I went to school with saw me in the bookstore at the Astrology section and he just looked at me and kept walking. I started to get into Astrology early this year. I have not told my dad, who is a Virgo, about this yet, He live in New York. If I told him about what I believe in this stuff, he will think I'm crazy. I don't like how religious people look at us differently, we are human beings. We are nice people. I respect other people believes, but when we say we believe this stuff they say we are weird. When we do wrong to people, they make us go through alot the trials and tribulations and we have to earned their forgivness. It just ain't right. All I know is this, we are all part of this world, and the religoius people need to think that they are not the only kind of people in the world. We have to share this world together. All you have to do is keep believing in Astrology as long as it makes you happy.

Because a lot of people need something to grab on to... like a GOD icon, or higher power. Kinda like maybe the opposite of you? I don't know you, but I am guessing that you do not think there is a true form of a GOD? And those that do are asking the same thing, "why can't some people just accept that some people do believe in God?"
