Emotional perhaps, but sad or depressing, no. The theatre must never be depressing, and sad is an emotion,so......
you need a monologue which has emotional expressiong in it.
Henry V's speech to his troops ending, "God for Harry, England, and St. George!" which is a pep talk before the battle that defeats the French. Find it. A goodie.
