no...with money comes all sorts of things; marriage breakdowns, insecurities, people getting jealous therefore they talk to the media about things that you've done etc.
Take a look at the people of hollywood, sure they have a lot of money, but they don't look happy with all the divorce settlements and prenups etc.
When you have lots of money, yo keep wanting more and more, Rockefeller was onced asked how much money was enough and he answered "just a little more".
When compared with those you aren't rich or are just barely making it, sure they don't have material wealth, but they see the important things in life, being thankful for the small things they have; family and love.

money can buy alot of superficial happiness, but the love of money can buy more problems than happiness, my salary has been rock bottom and top dollar over the course of my carrer, and as you earn more, your social spending goes up and sometimes feels like you spend it before you get it regardless of how much there is. its not until you realise that the things that bring you most happiness in life dont come from money. the feeling you get when you see your kid ride his first bike. the satisfaction of making a meal enjoyed by your family, talking to a homeless person in the street.etc
i mean dont get me wrong, buying a flash car, big house, huge tv. yeah its great but is that really what its all about.
i was walking through an expensive area of london this summer, the same time of year that lots of oil rich young saudis are in town driving there lambos, rollers and wearing there 0000$$$ suits and diamonds. now yes it would be nice to have those things i guess, but they were all the same, the had the most expensive car, the most gold, and the nicest suit, but that was it, they could go no further, they were trying so hard to show that they were happy with all this meterialistic stuff around them bought with all there money. there were missing the point i think.
so thats what i think, rant over.:)

It sure does make you happy, but some of the richest people are more miserable than some of the poorest people in the world that are happy for what they truly have-- family. For example, Paris Hilton-- Her money got her no-where. Jail, and even her grandfather lost trust in her, and isn't handing down the family business to her anymore.
Most poor people I see have ripped clothes and beg for money, but really, inside they are very happy, knowing they're not going to jail or worrying about make-up all day and the lastest fashions where a top can cost over $1000. They're happy with what they've got. At least they're not dead! I see some poor people on the side of the road having a jolly old chat with a bypasser. That is what truly matters--- Happiness, not money.
So I believe money can't buy happiness!!

Yes and no.
Look at all the celebrities who are millionaires but definitely unhappy and alone.
Look around you and I am sure you will find some people living very modestly who are very happy.
I think it depends a lot on the relationships we have with others.
But let's be realistic..of course lack of money brings worries, lack of opportunities etc. Who wants to be homeless, starving and cold during the winter ?
Money sure does put some worries away !
Especially within families when children have to be taken care of.
I do not have a black and white answer for you.
I have been very poor and very happy, pretty wealthy and not that much, in between...etc..
As long as people do not worship money nor want to have more and more which can be a deadly evolution; keeping with the Joneses etc.........money is not evil.
Healthy relationships with other people make more difference I think.

Money can make happiness to some extent, but as money increases our happiness starts to decreease. Money makes the human beings mad. For instance, In the middle of death the English were looking for gold in America. The Indians helped them or else they would have died and no English would have come to America dueto fear. Money helps to buy things which give us happiness to some extent.
These r some examples and point. U should re-arrange, explain and organize these information.
Best of luck for your essays

It can buy short term happiness. Very little guarantee it will work in long-term. Although you hear about a lot of rich people living it up on TV, I know a lot more rich people who aren't happy. Usually they are too busy trying to make more money (like they need more) or keep from losing the pile of cash they have.
Sometimes money ends up alienating you from friends and you end up being lonely (or having superficial relationships with other rich people).

Happiness is internal, we find true happiness in giving of ourselves to others.
Money can't buy love nor can it buy happiness.
Money fakes a lot of people out, but at the end of the day, each and everyone of us knows the truth, we are who we are, not because of how much money we have.

only changing your own outlook can make you happy. money will just change the situation around you, but you can always find a problem with it.
for your essay, consider the fact that lottery winners who were sad/angry people are no happier a year after they won (after the initial novelty wore off)... and it has been shown also that if someone was generally happy before a tragedy like being paralyzed in an accident, a year later they'll be generally happy like they were before (after the initial shock/depression stabilizes).
it's all outlook. i knew a guy in a wheelchair who had no money who was one of the happiest friendliest most goodnatured people i know.

Apparently it can. A study by the Canadian government and another group I don't remember showed that those who won a great amount of wealth actually were happier than they were before they won the money!!!
So that seems to throw the old adage "money can't buy you happiness" out the door. Because apparently it does.

Money can buy forms of happiness. It can't buy the kind of happiness that love or caring brings. There are so many different kinds of happiness. You buy a car...and you are happy...but it took money to buy that car. You meet a new love...it was free..and you are happy about it. So yea, I think it depends on the kind of happiness.
