The Beatles top my list, the Grateful Dead, the Doors and Led Zeppelin are also way up there, I am a big Clash fan but they aren't really old school rock, they are more grandfathers of Punk/New Wave. Surprisingly I am not a huge fan of the Rolling Stones.
