Because in the early foetal state all babies are female and it is only after a few weeks that you turn into either male or female but by then the nipples have already started to grow,,,

When you think about putting babies together from scratch, starting with a fertilized egg, it's a lot easier if the two different models (M and F) share as much of the same basic plan as possible. Women need nipples for nursing. It would take a lot of extra genes and developmental mechanism to make them go away in men - and they're not hurting anything. (Men and women are so much alike that, with hormone treatments, some men can lactate. Hormones turn the feature on or off.)
The only genetic difference between men and women is on the Y chromosome, and it has very few genes. There's not a lot of room there to spell out big, complicated differences between men and women. They have to be relatively small differences, and have to be the ones that are truly necessary for reproduction.
As far as practical use, some guys get enjoyable feelings when they're played with. Anything that makes sex more fun increases the chance of reproduction - maybe not what the individual always wants, but necessary at the species level.

All humans begin life in the womb as females. If no Y chromosome is present in the foetus, then the embryo will continue to develop as and be born as a female. If there is a Y chromosome present in the embryo, the male sex hormone testosterone restricts the full development of breasts to just nipples, the labia fuse to become the scrotum and clitoris develops fully to become a penis. If the Y chromosome prevails in producing a male, this is not done without a fight. Male babies are weaker as a result than female ones, occounting for the slightly higher death rate in male babies.
Because we are built to a common pattern. All people contain the genetic information to be either male or female, but in the vast majority of people only one alternative develops.
All humans are born with rudimentary potential breasts. In the case of women they are triggered to develop hormonally as a secondary sexual characteristic. Men not only have nipples, but undeveloped (pre-pubescent) breasts. Anyway, they have entertainment value.

Because when first formed in the womb ALL foetuses are female. The nipples are from that time and serve no purpose for the male .

we are the same design as women.
life is short on new concepts, think of a sperm, a head and tail.
think of a lizzard, a head and tail, with arms and legs.
Think of a form of animal, without head, spine, and mirrored limbs.
Look up some perv site, for women with big clitoris's, you'll see the design, is...yes, a penis.
life is very simple. the nips are universal in most animals, just not used in men.

We all grow in the womb with the ability to be either male or female. I don't know which week it is after conception when the sex is decided.

I think it's because the fetus has no sex or is female and then later testosterone goes in to the fetus making it male.

Too difficult to have two prototype fetuses. Just do one and modify later.
