I LOVED this show as a kid. Tim Conway was/is a comedic genius. I loved the old man bit as well. But I thought the best part of the show was were Carol answered questions from the audience. It was NOT scripted and more importantly, it was REAL. Oh my! I'd forgotted about Carol's Tarzan yell! Yes, it brings back memories. Innocent and carefree ones. Some of the sketches were so funny they brought the cast members to tears! Vicki Lawrence was wonderful as well. Now, I can't remember if this was The Red Skelton Show, but I think I distinctly remember a very touching part was Carol dressed up as a clown or a cleaner, mopping the floor.

There can't be a "favorite cast member." The great thing about her show was how everybody was so on the same level and not trying to become a breakout star. They all riffed off each other and did whatever it took to make the sketch work the best. My favorite moments on the show were when they managed to crack each other up and stop the sketch until the giggles wore off. If you've never seen Tim Conway's elephant story then you're missing out on one of the best bits of TV of all time...

it was great I would say that what was the funniest on the show was they way that Tim Conway could make everyone break character..... and then Tim and Harvey would try and make each other laugh.....
the funniest one of all was when they were on the couch talking as mommas family and Tim told the story about the Siamese twins elephants that were joined at the trunk....
I'm laughing just thinking about it.....

Probably the last Variety show that I ever watched.
And... the last one that I ever will watch.
I liked Tim Conway's 2000 year-old man bit.
